A former Millwood Public Schools math teacher accused of sexually abusing a 15-year-old female student confessed to detectives during
questioning, court records show.
An affidavit filed by a detective with the Oklahoma County sheriff's office shows the
alleged sexual abuse started in December when Eric Harris, who also coached boys
basketball and baseball at Millwood, asked the alleged victim to send a nude photo of
herself to his mobile phone.
The girl told detectives that the interactions progressed, including an incident at the
school. He asked her for oral sex on three separate occasions while driving her home from
school functions, records show.
The girl said she was afraid to say no when the defendant asked for oral sex.

Mark Myers, spokesman for the sheriff's department, said on Friday afternoon that no
other student at Millwood has come forward with a similar complaint against Harris. He
said the investigation is ongoing.

Gloria Griffin, superintendent of Millwood Public Schools, spoke about Harris' arrest earlier in the week at a news conference. She said
the defendant was remorseful when school officials met with him and that he resigned on Wednesday.

Millwood Public Schools is a pre-K through high school district of about 1,050 students in northeast Oklahoma City.
Harris, who is married, is being held on $150,000 bail at the Oklahoma County jail.
The sheriff's department is recommending he be charged with three counts of forcible oral sodomy, rape by instrumentation,
solicitation of child pornography and lewd acts with a child under 16.
