i. ( Suggested answer )
Dear Ellie,
There was a sad announcement during the assembly last week.
One of our students met with a serious road accident and the
headmaster informed us that he needed a large amount of blood
urgently. Many of us are too young to donate blood. However, the news
spread very fast. When our parents and relatives heard about the appeal
for blood, many of them came forward to donate blood. The students
father came to school during the assembly the following week. He
thanked all those unselfish, caring people who so willingly donated
their blood to help his son. A big thank you to all of them!

It was very hot last night. I went to open my room windows and was
shocked to see a robber climbing up my neighbours gate. My
neighbours had gone overseas and no one was at home. I quickly ran
down to the living room.
My parents were still busy doing their office work. I told them what
I had witnessed. My father called the police. Within ten minutes, two
patrol cars arrived. Four police officers came out from the patrol cars.
6

Two of them quickly entered my neighbours house while the others

waited outside.
We heard some shouting and loud footsteps. A few minutes later,
we saw the robber running out of the house. The two officers chased
after him. The robber ran fast but the officers who waited outside were
fast too. They soon caught and handcuffed the robber. The police
officers thanked us for being alert.
