1.0 OBJECTIVES
To define the procedure of identifying training needs and provision of the training
to company's personnel whose activities directly affect the quality of the services
provided by IQG.

3.0 PROCEDURE
3.1 RESPONSIBILITY
3.1.1 Company management is responsible for ensuring that his/her staffs are
properly equipped for the job / assigned task. Hence, he / she needs to
establish their training requirements.
3.1.2 Branch Manager or his designate is responsible for providing the
necessary resources and arrangements to meet the training needs.
3.2 NEW STAFF
3.2.1 Operations Manager will brief the new staff on the company's

Scope of business and organization,


Quality Policy,
Rules and practices.

3.2.2 Operations Manager will orientate the new staff around the office and
introduce him/her to the relevant staffs through a short tour.
3.2.3 Operations Manager will brief the staff on his/her roles and
responsibilities of the job and the relevant procedures.

3.2.4 Upon completion of the probationary period, Operation Manager shall assess
the staffs training needs and complete the Training Needs Assessment form
(see Appendix 1)
3.3 EXISTING STAFFS
3.3.1 Employees performance is evaluated at least once a year. Operation
Manager shall review and identify the development needs of the staffs
directly reporting to him/her during the evaluation using the Training
Needs Assessment form (see Appendix 1).
3.3.2 The completed form shall be forward to Branch Manager for review
and follow up.
3.4 EXTERNAL TRAINING
3.4.1 For external training staff concerned will fill up the External Training
Application form(see Appendix 2) and submit it to the Branch Manager
for Approval.
3.4.2 Upon approval, if no source of training is indicated, Branch Manager
or appointed staff will source for the relevant courses. Staff concerned
will be informed of the course details once the course is confirmed.
3.5 INTERNAL TRAINING
3.5.1 For in house classroom type of training, Branch Manager or designate
shall make the necessary arrangement and co-ordination.
3.5.2 For internal training, examination and certification of all certified
personnel of IQG involving in non-destructive testing, it shall be in
accordance to the company Written Practice: WI NDT 01, which
herein establishes the Control and Administration of non-destructive
testing personnel in meeting the requirements as described in the
Recommended practice No. SNT-TC-1A published in 2006 edition of
the American Society for Non-destructive Testing.

3.6 UPON COMPLETION OF ALL TRAINING.

3.6.1 Upon completion of the training, the staff shall fill up the Training
Evaluation form (see Appendix 3) and forward it to the Branch Manager
for review and follow up (if required).
3.6.2 Branch Manager or designate shall update the training Record (see
Appendix 4).
4.0 RECORDS
Technical Manager shall maintain the following records of each staff for as long as
their duration of employment with the company.
