Notes:

1 No purging required for purge/power bypass mode.

2 The operation of the purge bypass switch shall be as below
a. When put in position 1 purging system will be bypassed and F&G detection system will work normally
b. When put in position 2 both purging and F&G detection system will be bypassed.
3 The system shall reset back to purging mode when turned back to purge bypass switch position 1 or 2 to position 0.
4 All remote alarm relays shall be of fail safe type i.e. shall be de-energized during alarm stage. Option shall be provided in the PLC such
that the relays can be changed to "non fail safe" mode by the end user.
5 The following shall be verified before starting the purging counter after the fan starts running
a. Minimum air flow through the outlet shall be verified using the input from the Outlet flow switch
b. Minimum pressure differential shall be verified from the input from the differential pressure switch.
6 The purge timer shall be halted upto 30S if there is a loss of pressure resulting from an open door.
7 The purge timer shall be reset if the loss of pressure differential persists for more than 30S.
8 Alarm and shutdown delays during Loss of Pressure shall be adjustable through the DAT.
9 Option shall be provided in the DAT to set the UPS shutdown delay for the delayed shutdown of UPS during Loss of Pressure.
10 After loss of main power supply the F&G detection system shall remain active using the emergency power supply.
11 Cabin loss of air flow shall be monitored at the inlet; i.e. using the feed back signal from the inlet flow switch.
12 Option shall be provided in the DAT to remove the LOP signal from the Ex sounder.
13 Fault in any fire or gas detector shall shut down the safe power and pressurization system of the cabin.
14 Gas detector set points shall be restricted such that the High Gas set point cannot be set lower than the Low set point.
15 The end user shall not be able to silence the gas alarms unless the gas level reaches either the Low Set points or below
3ppm/5%LEL for the H2S and HC detectors respectively. Option shall be provided in the DAT to change the alarm reset levels
between Low set points and below 3ppm/5%LEL. Pressurization fan shall not re-start unless the gas level goes below the low set
points or below 3ppm/5%LEL.
16 Activation of the Local or Remote emergency stop shall shut down the pressuriztion system and safe power inside the cabin. The
F&G detection system shall remain active even after the operation of the emergency stop.
17 A fault in PLC shall shut down the safe power to the Non Ex equipments inside the cabin instantly.
18 When the main power to the cabin is disconnected, the system shall follow the Loss of Pressure shut down philosophy and the UPS
shall shut down after the set time delay.
19 During the over load trip of the pressurization fan the safe power and UPS power shutdown shall follow the Loss of Pressure shutdown
philosophy.
20 Once high pressure is inside cabin detected (>200Pa) the pressurization fan shall stop after a fixed time delay of maximum 20s and
the safety system shall follow Loss of Pressure shutdown philosophy
21 After purgin complete, Safe Power is not Switched ON, if the door is left open for more than 30 seonds.
Fan stopped,Dampers closed.Purging then shall be restarted manually
