Findelements
Findelements(Ctrl+F)findallelementscontainingagiventext.NotethatsometextsinSuperMemocanbedisplayedbymeansofimagesorOLEobjects.Thosewillnot
showupinthesearch.Theresultsofthesearchwillbedisplayedintheelementbrowser.Ifyouquitthebrowser,youcanalwaysreturntotheresultsofyourlastsearchwith
View:Searchresults.Thetextsfoundinthesearchcanalsobeviewedinthetextregistryasthefirstregistrysubset.Rememberthattextsearchesrunontextmember
names,notonactualHTMLfiles.Textmembernamescanbechanged(e.g.inthetextregistry).Thisiswhythesearchmayfindtextsthat,atfirst,donotseemtocontainthe
searchedstring.Ifthishappens,checkthetext'smembernameintheregistry.IfitdiffersfromthetextyouseeinSuperMemo,youcanquicklybringthemtoalignmentbyjust
editingthetextyouseeinHTMLtextcomponents.Thismeans,thatyoucanalsohideHTMLtextsfromsearchbychangingtheirmembernames.Thishidingwilllast,
however,onlyuntilthenexteditofthetext.Again,alleditsbringtextmembernamesbacktoalignmentwiththeirHTMLequivalents.Tooseeboththemembernameandthe
HTMLtext,rightclickthecomponentandchooseLinks:Registrymemberonthecomponentmenu(orclickandpressCtrl+Shift+K).

Findtexts
Findtexts(Ctrl+S)findalltextsinthetextregistrythatcontainagivenstring.Onceyouclosethetextregistry,theresultscanbeviewedlateronbygoingtothefirstsubset
inthetextregistry(Search:TextsfollowedbyAlt+Rightarrow).Oncetheresultsaredisplayed,youcandoANDsearchbychoosingCtrl+Sagainandsearchingforthesecond
stringoftheANDsearchpair.ChoosingCtrl+SagainwillmakeSuperMemosearchonlythroughtheresultsofthefirstsearch.ChoosingCtrl+Rwillmakeitpossibletoapply
Findandreplaceinthecurrentlyselectedsubsetoftexts(thismethodismuchfasterthanSearch:Searchandreplace)

Findstring
Findstring(F3)findastringinthecurrentlyselectedtextcomponent.Usethisoptiontosearchthecontentsofparticularlylongarticles.IfyouuseFindstringafterFind
elements,youwillbeabletolocatethesearchedstringinthetextofelementsthatincludethestring

Searchandreplace
Searchandreplace(Ctrl+R)searchallentriesofthetextregistriesandreplacetheoccurrenceofonestringwithanother.

Websearch
Websearch(Ctrl+F3)searchforthecurrentlyselectedstringusingsearchengines(e.g.Google),Wikipedia,encyclopedias,dictionaries,orotherwebsources.Youcanalso
defineyourownsearchtools,tosearchformovies,actors,scientificpapers,sportsmen,etc.Forexample,ifyouwanttosearchformoviesintheInternetMovieDatabaseadd

Lexiconopenthelexiconregistry(see:picture)thatmakesitpossibletolocateindividualwordsusedinthecollection(exceptforwordsusedinpictures,OLEobjects,etc.).
Notethatifontheflylexiconcompilationisturnedoff(tospeedupSuperMemo),somewordsmightbemissingfromthelist(see:Tools:Options:Access)!Insuchcases
run:File:RepaircollectionwithRebuildlexionchecked.Notealsothatthelexiconisbuiltfromtextregistrymembernames,notfromthecorrespondingformattedtexts.If
thosetwodiffer(e.g.throughrenameinthetextregistry),youmayseewordsinHTMLcomponentsthatwillnotbelistedinthelexicon.Toreturnthemembernametothe
