An interesting development is that the latest 7.31 and 7.40 already gained a very good adoption rate while PI
7.11 is still the most used PI release.

SAP has addressed the monitoring pain point with improvement of the local PI monitoring as well as the central
PI monitoring via SAP Solution Manager. One problem of the Solution Manager based monitoring is still its low
adoption rate.When analysing the survey results in detail one interesting and important finding was that even
SAP Process Orchestration: Results of the global NetWeaver PI Survey 2014 (Part 1 of 2)
for 58% of the companies already using the central PI monitoring of SAP Solution Manager monitoring is still a
major pain point.
Weighting of pain points over the last 4 years:
The general question in regards to pain points confirms that performance and stability is no critical issue for
most of the companies, while end-to-end monitoring remains at a constantly high level.
