Speaker Stands Setup

To open the airlift speaker stands, twist the bottom knob displayed in the image below to
the left. When loosened enough, extend the legs by pushing down on them until reaching
a suitable width (ask DJ for confirmation that your width is good) and tighten the knob.

18

Once your speaker stands are placed correctly, pull the aluminum piece to the top by
pressing in on the side buttons and pulling up.

19

Place your speaker scrim onto the speaker stand and run your XLR and power cables
through the opening on the back. Attach two of the legs to the scrim leaving the third
open for you to have room to work with. Place your speaker onto the aluminum pole and
loosen the top knob (same way as bottom) to lift the speaker to the desired height. Once
the height is set correctly tighten the knob and attach the last leg of the speaker scrim.

20
For the TeleLock stands the only difference in setup will be how to open and close the
legs of the stands as well as raising the stands. Unlatch the gray curved bar to loosen the
legs then extend them to a suitable width and latch it to tighten the legs.

Turn the gray wheel to the raise section to raise the stand or lower section to lower the
stand and then turn it back to the lock position to lock the stand in place.

Speaker Setup
For the K12 and K10 speakers, plug the male XLR into Line A and plug the blue
locked power cord into the blue power slot on the back of the speaker.
For the EV speakers, plug the male XLR into input 1 (top input) and plug the
unlocked power cord into the power slot on the back of the speaker.
For the JBL PRX speakers, plug the male XLR into the only available input and
plug the unlocked power cord into the power slot on the back of the speaker.
The K12, K10, and EV speakers all have their power and XLR cords in their
respective cases. The JBL PRX speakers have their XLR and power cords in a bag with
multiple XLR and power cords.

IMPORTANT: Make sure all speaker gains are set to 0dB!

For the subwoofer KW181 take the XLR male to male cord and plug the XLR
male into Line A of the subwoofer and the male into the booth out section of the SX.

Controller Setup
SX:

Open the SX and pull the power cable (see image below) and plug it in.

23
Take the USB (located inside the controller case) and put it through the hole on the left
side (facing the SX as in the first image above).

Lastly, plug the other end of the XLR from the speaker into the back of the SX as shown
below.

24
SR:
Open the SR case and pull the USB tucked in the back through the left hole toward you.
Plugging in this USB to the laptop will power the SR. Pull the cables out as well and
leave them to the side. (Reference mic mixer on page 32 to see how to correctly
configure those.)

25

Microphone Setup
Main Microphone:
Pull the base out of the case and plug the XLR female into the back as well as the power
adapter. Be sure to loop the power adapter as seen below to prevent accidental
unplugging.

Plug the other end of the XLR (male) into the Mic 1 XLR input of the back of the SX.

26
Toast Microphone:
For the toast or backup microphone plug the male adapter into the Mic 2 input of
the SX and the XLR female into the base as seen above.
