ETERNUS CS200c
ETERNUS CS200c integrates correctly-sized
hardware, backup software and licenses into
a complete backup solution. The appliance
enables a fast and hassle-free setup of
a comprehensive backup and archiving
environment. Leading software technology
from CommVault Simpana is perfectly
integrated with powerful Fujitsu system
technology in order to deliver the right
performance for the selected capacity range.
Backup capacity can be expanded during the
lifecycle thus supporting data growth and
delivering investment protection. Each capacity
extension is fully licensed making commercial
procedures simple. The integrated Simpana
software is a data protection suite with
modules for Backup & Recovery, Deduplication,
Archive, Snapshot and more and is used to
radically simplify data management across its
lifecycle.

ETERNUS CS Backup Appliance

The ETERNUS CS portfolio offers data protection
solutions for all company sizes and needs: ETERNUS
CS200c is an integrated backup appliance providing
small and midsized environments with a complete
solution without the need for additional backup
software. ETERNUS CS800 is a deduplication
appliance dedicated for cost efficient backup to disk
in small and midsized environments. The unified
data protection appliance ETERNUS CS8000 allows
upper midsized and large enterprises a complete
consolidation of backup and archiving infrastructures
of open systems and mainframes.

ETERNUS CS200c Data Protection in a box

The ETERNUS CS200c is a complete backup infrastructure in a box.
In combination with CommVault Simpana, the appliance serves as
a standardized platform for the backup and archiving of data from
physical and virtual environments. Basic and upgrade capacity is always
delivered as fully software licensed. The solution is equipped with
fast hard disks or SSDs, along with integrated deduplication for high
performance backup and archiving.
The appliance setup is easy thanks to comprehensive automation
to ensure highly efficient and reliable data backup. The central
management console with GUI and remote access enables to track,
index, schedule, and perform data transfer. Unified management makes
backup administration and scheduling quite easy. This eliminates
multiple management points, reduces risks, cuts costs and frees up
administration resources.
The ETERNUS CS200c is ideal for small and medium-sized enterprises
looking for a data protection solution in a box, for consolidating
backup infrastructures, for enterprises with branch offices/subsidiaries
and for easy data backup in specific areas like MS Exchange and VM
environments or Edge clients.

ETERNUS CS200c Appliance Software

The Appliance Foundation Software installed on the ETERNUS CS200c
is based on the technology-leading CommVault Simpana software.
The enterprise software is tightly coupled with the Fujitsu best-in-class
PRIMERGY server. The software includes an unlimited number of file
system clients for virtual & physical systems. The software provides
modern backup and recovery capabilities to better protect ever-growing
data volumes, efficiently manage information assets, and quickly find,
recover and access data. The deduplication feature can be enabled at
the source (client server) or the target (ETERNUS CS200c). The Appliance
Foundation Software can be extended as an option with application
support of Windows, Linux/Unix and SAP applications as well as
snapshot, replication and tape attachment.
The Appliance Advanced Software features all the standard functions
of the Appliance Foundation Software including application support.
Snapshot and replication or tape support are optional.
