Mano and the Falcons cut down

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Adelaide,SA- The Adelaide Falcons again showed that they
will be a real force in this years NSL Championship with a
convincing 35-7 defeat of the previously unbeaten
Parramatta Rams.
Lead by Quarterback Andrew Mano, the Falcons
controlled possession, winning the turnover count 4-0 but
they also showed enough aggression in attack that kept
the scoreboard ticking over. Mano completed 13 of 18
passes, 4 touchdowns and no picks. He was also sacked
just 4 times. His main target was big Receiver Jamie
Jenkinson who would cross over twice in the 4th quarter.
Just reward for an outstanding game where he caught 6
passes for 129 yards. Jenkinson revelled in the physicality
of his match up with big Corner Antonio Tamou who for
once could not dominate with his size.
After a 1st quarter where both sides tested each
out, it would be no surprise that Percy Harvin would break
the deadlock with a great 17 yard catch in the corner.
Despite taking the lead this would be the only highlight of
the match for the Rams. From here on in it was all
Adelaide. Brynjar Dodds replied almost immediately as he
latched onto an 8 yard swing pass from Mano. Parramatta
meanwhile threw an interception, then fumbled possession
away and Adelaide scored two more times through Michael
Darby and Dodds on another pass to the edge.
The Falcons were still on top through a scoreless
3rd quarter before Jenkinson made the game a route with
his 4ht quarter touchdowns. "I think that is the best I have
seen Jenks play" said Coach Wayne SIng. "He really took
the challenge of playing against Tamou to heart. It shows
just how dangerous he can be". For Parramatta itw as back
to the drawing board. "We learnt a lesson tonight. Not
panic stations but we still needed a reality check and we
go one" Kurt Sorenson lamented.
