Over the past 20 years, the Galileo Affair has not yet been settled. The Holy
Office gave the final solution on the last trial meeting which condemned Galileo of
heresy, however, in the lowest degree, scandalous-belief. Galileo, still has a chance to
write books in Latin on sensitive theological matters as well as his mathematical
computation and observation.
Our God gave us an ability to think logically and rationally on any situation and
provide solutions. For thousands of years since the creation of the earth, different
beliefs on a certain subjects have been introduced because different people believe in
different things. Like the different heavenly systems created by Aristotle, Tycho,
Copernicus and Galileo. But the more different ideas will show the contrast between
people. Whenever people start to agree with each other, that is when the answer is
revealed. But it will never happen because, as stated above, people will never have the
same ideas. The creation of the College of Rome is to encourage the greatest thinkers
of the era, and to give the best theories and hypotheses for the world to listen to.
Mathematics is considered one of the crucial elements in research of the
heavens. Mathematics has been developed to help the Catholic Church and the world
to advance the correct scientific ideas. Without mathematics, people would struggle with
their daily lives, especially merchants and engineers. Mathematics is the foundation and

the most reliable source of projects in our history. Compared to Aristotles time, Galileos
mathematical calculations are much more advanced and new theorems have been
introduced.
If the cardinals have to choose, Galileos computation seems to be reliable.
Mathematics is absolutely true and practical on theory. But its not always right and easy
to apply it to certain things. This is called uncertainty. The fact that mathematics in our
time is far advanced than the time of Aristotle is undebatable. Galileo is able to assess
to the resources more than Aristotle at the time. However, its not necessary to rely on
this. The gathered numerical information can be different than the real number. For
example, if one wants to measure the distance between Rome to Florence theyll find
that it is 88 km long, but when one measures it only 80. 8 km there will be a huge
impact on the results of another distance that is measured in this same way, and every
one after that.
It is hard to tell the one that is right because the mistake in the research may be
out of the humans capacity to control. Simply put, humans make mistakes. However,
the mistake that Galileo, Aristotle and other astronomers may have had in the past
maybe went over their control like the distance example given above. The distance is
hard to measure exactly with basic tools. Theres a chance that the measure is the
result of imperfections and it can be argued both ways. Nobody is able to test the
perfectness of the telescope besides God. The Bible is the reliable source now but it is
implied underneath the metaphors which are hardly interpreted by human beings. The
research needs to go to the point where the truth is going to be conveyed. Our

cardinals responsibility is to find and clarify the truth no matter how long it will take
because the truth needs to be found.
Our God highness, please guide your lambs to your light in the name of Jesus
Christ through the Holy Spirit. Amen.
