Applications are invited up to 07/05/2015 for filling-up of the vacant posts at the
Regional Medical Research Centre, Bhubaneswar. Name of the post: Technical
Assistant:-3 nos.- UR (Post No.1- UR, Post No.2-UR reserved for PWD(OH) & Post
No.3-UR). Scale of Pay: Pay Band-2, Rs.9,300-34,800 + Grade Pay Rs.4,200/- and
usual allowances as admissible as per Government norms.

Three years Bachelor Degree in nursing sciences from a recognized
university with DMLT/Certificate of one year duration or one year experience

Essential Qualification :
Three years Bachelor Degree in psychology from a recognized university
with DMLT/Certificate of one year duration or one year experience in the
lower scale in clinical psychology.
Desirable Qualification :
1st class Master degree in clinical psychology. Experience of working
in social and clinical research setting.
Knowledge on computer application.

Age Limit:
(i) Not exceeding 30 years. Relaxable up to 5 years for Government servants and
SC/ST/OBC, Ex-Servicemen and PWDs will be allowed relaxation as per GOI rules
applicable from time to time : Age will be reckoned as on 07/05/2015.
General Relaxation Clause: One time age relaxation is also allowed to Technical
staff working in long term projects of ICMR Institutes/Centers for posts advertised
under ICMR project provided they meet essential qualifications and experience for the
post with a view to provide them opportunity to compete with other candidates as per
rule 4 with approval of DG, ICMR.
Candidate working (as on the date of notification) on Long Term Projects in ICMR
Institute/ Centers will be given One time age relaxation.

Job Requirement :
To assist clinical research in OPD facility & clinical fields, recording of
clinical information, support in development of format/questionnaire for
out patients, support data entry and analysis of the clinical data
involving symptomatology, investigation, management and follow up
of records.
To support the other targeted research programme of center e.g.
mother to child transmission in filariasis, immune response in WB
infected children, reproductive tract
infection in tribal women,
operational strategy for under five mortality reduction and improving
maternal health in tribal area etc.
To provide technical assistance to any other relevant activities/
research programmes of the centre.

Job Requirement :
To support ongoing and future research programs of the center on
communicable and non-communicable diseases.
To support individual and group counseling program related to
intervention studies on health seeking, haemoglobinopathy
management etc.
To develop questionnaire / modules, assessment of group /
individual, data handling and analysis of clinicoepidemiological data
with psychological components.
To provide technical assistance to other activities/research
programes of the centre in the relevant field.
Age Limit:
(i) Not exceeding 30 years as on 07/05/2015.
(ii)

General Relaxation Clause: Relaxable up to 5 years for Government


servants
and SC/ST/OBC, Ex-Servicemen and PWDs (OH)-10 years (Gen) will be
allowed relaxation as per GOI rules applicable from time to time.

(iii) One time age relaxation will be given to the candidates working (as on the
date of notification) on long term projects in ICMR institutes/centre.

Other Service Conditions
(a) Benefits of New restructured defined contributory Pension system are admissible
as per the provision contained in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic
Affairs (ECB & PR Division), Notification No.5/7/2003-ECB & PR dated 22.12.2003
effective 1.1.2004.
(b) Orthopedically Handicapped (OH)
A person having not less than 40% physical impairment with disability of such
type
with which the independent mobility is not affected, is eligible to apply.
Interlocking Reservation will be provided to Persons with Disabilities as per Govt.
of India Instructions.
Guidelines for candidates with Locomotors Disability and Cerebral Palsy::
A compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour shall be permitted for candidates with
locomotors disability and cerebral palsy where dominant (writing) extremity is
affected to the extent of slowing the performance of function (minimum 40%
impairment), although no scribe shall be permitted to such candidates. Only
those Orthopedically challenged candidates who have locomotor disability or
cerebral palsy with locomotor impairment of minimum of 40% and only those who
fall in the following categories are eligible to apply: BL-Both legs affected but not
arms, OA-One arm affected (R or L):- (a) Impaired reach; (b) weakness of grip; (c)
ataxia OL-One leg affected (R and or L) MW-Muscular weakness and limited
physical endurance. Guidelines are subject to change in terms of GOI
guidelines/clarifications, if any, from time to time .

Application fees for Rs.100.00 should be submitted in shape of crossed IPO drawn
in the name of the Director, RMRC, Bhubaneswar. SC/ST/PWDs and women
candidates are exempted for application fees. ICMR employees are not exempted
for payment of application fee. IPO obtained prior to the notification of
advertisement will not be entertained.

(d) Applications from employees working in Central/State Govt. Departments/ Public


Sector Undertakings and Govt. funded research agencies must be forwarded
through proper channel. Advance copies of application will be considered subject
to the conditions that a No Objection Certificate from the employer is produced at
the time of personal discussion.
(e) Only short-listed candidates will be called for written test/interview and no
correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
(f)

Incomplete/late application shall be not be entertained.

(g) The Director, RMRC, Bhubaneswar reserves the right to reject the applications or
to cancel the notification without assigning any reason thereof.
(h) Any canvassing by or on behalf of the candidates or to bring political or other
outside influence with regard to selection/recruitment shall liable for
disqualification.
