Capitalize on Existing Tourism Base

The entire Action Agenda outlined above is about building on
the existing tourism infrastructure and marketing what we
have more effectively.
There is opportunity for improvement and expansion
everywhere in Martin Countys tourism infrastructure.
An essential objective in tourism marketing is to maintain
the authenticity of what we want visitors to experience.
Tourism development is based on three fundamental
activities: Promotion, promotion and promotion. The
variable is the quality and measurable effectiveness of the
promotion.
The most important single indicator of sustained growth in
extended stay tourism is hotel and motel occupancy.
