at Monday morning assembly.

ANZAC DAY SATURDAY 25TH APRIL 2015

An open invitation is extended to Tootgarook PS parents, teachers
and pupils to attend the Rye RSL Anzac Day Commemorative Service
and Centenary Plaque dedication from 12.00pm at the RSL on
Saturday 25th April. Our School Captains Obelia Wycisk and Harrison
Read will represent the school by laying a wreath during the Memorial
Service. The March will commence at Rye Pier at 12:15pm
Today some children will bring home a Student Absence Letter outlining the
unexplained days your child has been absent from school. Please fill in the Reason for the
Absence and return to school to enable our records to be kept up to date. If at any
time your child is absent from school please either phone the school or send a note with
your child when he/she returns thank you for you co-operation.

A Student Emergency Contact Details letter will be sent home next week with your
child. Please check all details and if there are any changes such as phone
numbers, address, emergency contacts - please return to the School Office
so records can be updated in case of emergency thank you!

Student of the Week

Students will be presented with certificates at Monday morning assembly.
Prep B Mrs Bos Molly Clarke for the wonderful answers and information she contributes to class
discussions.
Prep R Mrs Read Billy Wyhoon for working so hard on improving his handwriting, keep it up Billy!
1H Mrs Hughes Marshall Symons for working so hard with his Literacy and Maths both at school and
home. Well done Marshall keep it up.
1P Miss Perkins - Harrison Ross Harrison has started term two in a great way. He is working really hard,
being extraordinarily helpful and showing great respect for others. Keep it up Harrison.
2B Mrs Baird - Daizy Grinter for always doing her best and following the RICH values. She always listens
carefully and shows interest in all her learning.
2J - Mrs Johnstone Max McIntosh for his interest and involvement in learning about ANZAC Day. Max
provided lots of information and brought in great collections to share.
3A Miss Arnold Travis Southon for his involvement during our class discussion on persuasive writing and
for doing really well with spelling words each week.
3W Ms Walton Nakeeta Buck for the effort she put into her Mornington Peninsula pamphlet. It was most
colourful with lots of relevant information. Well done, Nakeeta.
4S Miss Staley + Miss McGhee - Mia Goldberg - Congratulations on achieving your pen licence Mia! You are
a great role model to others and always demonstrate the R.I.C.H school values! Keep up the fantastic work!
5Q Miss Quintin Well done at the district soccer try-outs Oliver Humble. You always represent Tootgarook
Primary School with good sportsmanship, great manners and a big smile. Congratulations!
6W Miss Withers Biancah Hopcroft - For trying her hardest in maths groups and handing in her homework
each week. Keep up the great work.
Music (Mrs Young) Jackson Vis 3W for always being a positive, engaged and polite Music student who
participates in all activities with skill and effort. Keep it up!
P.E. (Mr Kitchin) Daniel McKenzie 6W for being selected to represent the Southern Peninsula at the State
Basketball tryouts. Well done Daniel, great effort and achievement.

World War for the soldiers who died.

Attention all Catholic Children in Grades 3 and 4!

Classes for Catholic children for the Sacrament of Reconciliation will begin at St
Joseph's School, Sorrento, on Wednesday 29th April at 3.45pm.
If you are eligible can parents please contact the school on 59841291 or the
Parish on 59844374 and leave their details. Please bring your child to the school
office on the 29th April at 3.40pm.
Classes for the Sacrament of First Communion commence on Wednesday 27th
May at 3.45pm in St Joseph's School.

run for one hour over three weeks for each Sacrament.

ROSEBUD SECONDARY COLLEGE

Open night is Tuesday April 28th beginning at 7pm in the SPAC
Scholarship applications are due in by Friday 8th May (forms can be collected from the Grade 6 teacher, off the
RSC website or at Open Night.
Registering interest for the SEAL program (Accelerated) can be made at the Open Night or by contacting the
college at rapajic.jovana.j@edumail.vic.gov.au. The SEAL testing dates are Monday 11th and Tuesday 12th of
May. Confirmation of times for testing will be given upon application
