State Projects’ Overview
• Replace obsolete buildings on State owned block at 14th/Broadway/13th/Lincoln
• Relocate History Center to Civic Center Cultural District site adjacent to Public
Parking
• Museum – 190,000 SF; $111 Million
• Consolidate 7 Judicial-related agencies from 10 locations – save lease & operating
costs
• Judicial – 600,000 SF; $258 Million including new parking facility (325 spaces)
• Financing – July, 2009: $39M Tax-Exempt COP and $300M Taxable Build America
COP at net 4.24% rate; Gaming Revenues, Court Fees and Lease Revenues pay debt
service
• Saved over $200M (26%) in financing cost over Legislature’s approval (SB08-206)
($5M+/year) and $77M savings over tax-exempt issuance
• Approximately 2,000 direct jobs created
