The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) is studying improvements to the BWI Rail

Station including:
n Construction of an additional boarding platform
n Construction of a larger, modern station building
n Addition of a fourth track along the Northeast Corridor (Penn Line) generally
between Odenton and Halethorpe Stations
All improvements are expected to be made within or immediately adjacent to the
existing railroad and station rights-of-way.

5:00-8:00 p.m. and walk through at your
own pace. There is no formal presentation.
Project staff will be on hand with displays
and information on the project. Bring your
questions and your ideas!

and comment on the Environmental Assessment and Section 4(f)
Evaluation. It contains the likely project impacts, including effects to historic
properties and proposed mitigation.

n See improvement plans

n Meet representatives from the project team

The National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA) and Section 106 of the
National Historic Preservation Act requires any project using federal money to consider the
environmental impacts of the project. These include impacts not only to natural resources, but also
to neighborhoods, communities, historic sites and cultural resources.

The project website also lists the locations of where the Environmental
Assessment is on public display and other project information. Please visit:
