and many Blessed Years! Christ is Risen! PASCHA THANK YOUS: The Parish Council would like to thank Matushka Ludmila for all of her hard work in preparation for this Feast of Feasts. Special Thanks to Matushka Donnalynn Morvay, Nicole Wight, Nadja and Fred Schmidt, Cliff Cook for preparing the Paschal Luncheon. Thank You to our special baker Natalie Bogach for the awesome blueberry cookies. To all of the faithful who stood vigil at the Grave, helped at the Paschal Food Blessings, our Altar Servers, our collectors and to our faithful parishioners who once again stepped up to make this a day that the Lord has made. Christ Is Risen! MOTHERS DAY: All Mothers on this special day will receive a flower in their honor when they come to church on this Sunday. Mothers Day Brunch: Please join us for our Annual Mothers Day Brunch which will held on Sunday May 10th. Everyone is invited to attend this luncheon in your honor. Please be reminded that the lunch we serve is cheaper than going out to some fancy restaurant. That can be saved for later in the day.
NO KNEELING IN CHURCH: Please be reminded
that there is no kneeling in church until Pentecost Sunday. ADULT EDUCATION / CHURCH SCHOOL CLASSES: Adult Education classes will be held again during the month of May. This will conclude our Church School classes for this time until September. Protodeacon John Suchernick has prepared some insightful lessons on the Divine Liturgy. Please make an effort to attend class beginning at 9:15 until hours at 9:45. NEWSLETTER SPONSORS FOR 2015: We are now soliciting sponsors for the upcoming year 2015. Cost to sponsor this Newsletter per month this year is only $50.00. Due to the rising costs of materials to produce this newsletter we had to raise the sponsorship. Please see Matushka Ludmila at the candle desk to reserve your month. CAPITAL CAMPAIGN FUND II: Due to severe winter weather the retaining wall that is holding up our church frontage is deteriorating. We will need to replace this wall and it has to be done sooner than expected. The Parish Council is looking to fix this wall properly and secure this wall for future years to
come. With it comes a substantial price that our
parish simply cant afford. We are looking at a bill close to $35,000 that is substantially high. The Parish Council will be sending out a letter this coming June soliciting funds for this major project. If there are members of this parish that would like to contribute to this project now please see Matushka Ludmila at the candle desk to help out. GENERAL CONFESSION: Please be reminded that the service of General Confession will begin again on the first Sunday of the month. This will begin again on Sunday May 3rd at 9:30AM. Also please be reminded that Father John is available for personal confession before the Divine Liturgy at 9AM. PLEASE JOIN IN: When attending the Divine Liturgy we ask all of our faithful to participate in both the reciting of the Creed and the singing of Our Father. We encourage you to pick up a book and join in this practice. Dont be afraid to participate! Active participation is encouraged in the Orthodox Church and we need you to get involved!
