Day 1 - Friday, Feb: Depart Romania

Our spiritual pilgrimage begins as we depart on


flight to Tel Aviv. After arrival at Ben Gurion Airport inTel Aviv well be metby
our local guide who will accompany us throughout our pilgrimage to the Holy
Land. Board our bus for the drive
along the shores of the Mediterranean to the seaside
Day 2 - Friday, Feb. 22: Arrive Tel Aviv / Netanya
After arrival at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv well be met by our local guide
who will accompany us throughout ourpilgrimage to the Holy Land. Board our
bus for the drive
along the shores of the Mediterranean to the seaside
resort town of Netanya for overnight. (D)
Day 3 - Saturday, Feb. 23: Netanya / Tiberias
Depart Netanya for Tiberias. Drive north along the
Mediterranean coast to
the sparkling port city of Haifa.
Ascend Mt. Carmel, home of the two prophets Elijah and
Elisha for Mass. Then proceed on to Cana of Galilee, where
Our Lord performed the first miracle changing water into
wine at the wedding feast. Here, we'll invite couples to
renew their wedding vows. Proceed to
Tiberias, our home
for the next two nights. (B/D)
Day 4 - Sunday, Feb. 24: Tiberias
Following breakfast, drive along the Horns of Hittin, the
site where Saladin defeated the Crusaders in 1187 and
brought an end to the 80 years old Latin Kingdom of
Jerusalem. Then proceed to Nazareth where we will
celebrate Mass
in the Annunciation Church followed by
visits to Joseph's Workshop and the Cave of the
Annunciation. Then ascend Mt. Tabor to visit the
traditional site of the Transfiguration of Jesus. Continue on
to the Baptismal Site on the Jordan River where we will
have an opportunity to we renew our baptismal vows.

Day 5 - Monday, Feb. 25: Tiberias / Jerusalem
This morning well enjoy a scenic boat ride across the Sea
of Galilee to Capernaum, home of Our Lord during His
ministry. After visiting the Synagogue where He taught,
well proceed to Tabgha, the site of the miracle of the
loaves and fishes. Then visit
the nearby Church of Peters
Primacy where Peter was told feed my lambs, feed my
sheep. Continue on to the Mt. of the Beatitudes for Mass
at the site of the Sermon on the Mount. In the afternoon
we will drive south through the Jordan River Valley to

ancient Jericho to visit the


ruins of the ancient city which
was conquered by Joshua. From the top of the ancient
tel well have an excellent view of Elishas Fountain and
the Mt. of Temptation. Then drive through the Judean
Wilderness to Bethany where Our Lord would come to
recuperate in the home of His loving friends, Mary,
Martha
and Lazarus before setting out once more on His arduous
task. Continue on to Jerusalem for check-in at our local
hotel. (B/L/D)
Day 6 - Tuesday, Feb. 26: Jerusalem
After breakfast this morning, we will drive to the top of the
Mount of Olives for a spectacular view of Jerusalem. Visit
the Church
of Pater Noster (where Jesus taught the Lords
prayer to His disciples) and the Chapel of Ascension. Then
walk along the Palm Sunday Road to Dominus Flevit where
Our Lord wept over Jerusalem. Continue by coach to the
Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations
which commemorates Jesus Agony in the Garden for
Mass. Then enter the Old City and visit the Church of Saint
Anne, the Pool of
Bethesda, the Chapel of Flagellation, and
Arch of the "Ecce Homo". Follow the Via Dolorosa to the
Church of the Holy Sepulchre to visit Golgotha and the
Tomb of Our Lord. (B/L/D)
Day 7 - Wednesday, Feb. 27: Jerusalem
This morning we will drive to Bethlehem to visit the
Nativity Church built by Emperor
Justinian in the 6th
century over the traditional grotto of Jesus birth. We will
visit the Manger, the Grotto of St. Jerome, the Church of St.
Catherine, and the Shepherds Fields. Then drive through
the Judean Wilderness the to Dead Sea where we will
enjoy a swim in its salty, mineral laden waters.
Continue on
to Qumran to see the caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls
were found. Return to Jerusalem. (B/L/D)
Day 8 - Thursday, Feb. 28: Jerusalem
This morning we will celebrate an early morning Mass at
the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Then proceed to Mt.
Zion to visit the Cenacle (Upper Room) which
was the
scene of the Last Supper. Continue to Dormition Abbey and
St. Peter in Gallicantu where Peter denied Jesus three
times. In the afternoon proceed to Ein Karem, the
birthplace of St. John the Baptist, to see the Visitation
Church where Mary proclaimed her famous "Magnificat".

We will also visit the Franciscan Church


of St. John the
Baptist, built in 1885. This evening we will enjoy a farewell
dinner at a local restaurant. After dinner we will proceed to
the airport in Tel Aviv to catch our late evening return flight

Day 9 - Friday, Mar. 1: Jerusalem / Tel Aviv / U.S.A.
Today our
Holy Land journey comes to an end as we arrive
back home following our overnight flight from Tel Aviv.
