STUDENTS AND PARENTS WILL NEED TO BRING A SACK LUNCH FOR THE FIELD
TRIP.
Students who wish to try out for basketball for the 2015-2016 school
year must attend
both
days of tryouts on Mon., 5/11 and tues., 5/12.
Tryouts will be held after school, in the mjhs gym, until 5:00pm.

For the rest of the year we will be doing, History in the Movies. I will present a historical
issue and the students will watch movie clips from a variety of movies to see the issue
acted out. We will cover World War II, the development of pop culture, the Cold War, Civil
Rights, the Space Race, the Sixties, and the cyber wars. Students will complete exit slips in
class to demonstrate their understanding of each topic.
