SPRING 2014
Welcome everyone.

We had a fantastic evening at our speaker event in February. Dean Beadle was a
wonderful speaker and created such a positive atmosphere, feedback from both
parents and professionals that came along was great. Thank you to all those that
supported the event. We hope to bring you more of the same very soon.
Thanks to the generosity of Sainsburys customers in Flackwell Heath we are able to
continue to fund our soft play sessions for 2014.
Please can we remind you that if you attend a branch activity like swimming or soft
play you are responsible for your children at all times. Whilst we appreciate Jungle
Mania is a good time for parents to catch up for a chat, it is essential that you are
supervising your youngsters rather than leaving them unattended for 2 hours. We
have a range of ages that enjoy the session and some of the younger children can
become overloaded. Also can we remind you our activities are for branch members
only so please dont invite other children who are not part of your immediate family.
Thank you for understanding.
Unfortunately this month will be our last swimming session we have booked at
Maidenhead. This was a joint event we shared with The Berkshire Autistic Society.
We are trying to secure further bookings or find an alternative venue. If anyone has
any contacts for a suitable pool we could private hire then please email the branch.

know and we can see about asking someone along to talk about it. If you would like more

The group were invaluable at our Dean Beadle evening.
"On Wednesday 5th February, TGWNN helped out at a talk that was given by Dean Beadle at Adams Park. Dean
Beadle is a speaker for autism and Autistic Spectrum Disorders. TGWNN's jobs for the evening were to take
people's names down as and when they arrived, collect any money people owed, answer any questions and show
them to their seats and other facilities.
TGWNN really enjoyed the talk... especially when Doctor Who started to be frequently mentioned. And our help
was much appreciated."
