In this cycle, you must complete all three sections of your homework.
Complete the Optional choices only if you would like extra homework.
Optional activities are NOT mandatory. Homework is to be presented in your
Homework Book every Day 5. It will be returned to you within one cycle.
This cycle, we are learning about Procedures in Writing and Money in
Mathematics. Our Unit of Inquiry is How We Organise Ourselves.
Languages
Mandarin
Pathway 1
1). Listen to the CD for lesson 10 on pages 6667 and 70 (Chinese Made
Easy Book 2).
2). Complete tasks for lessons 9 and 10 on pages 64-81.
3). Read the text book for Lesson 10 until fluent.
Pathway 2
1) Reading (5.5)
2) Read the text on page 61-62 until fluent (Singapore Primary Chinese 2B).
3) Copy 10 words for one line each from the second column, first page of the
vocabulary list.
4) complete page 37-44 on workbook
Pathway 3
1). Read aloud the text 4.1 (3A) and reading text daily.
2). Complete character writing in exercise book.
3). Complete Exercise 4.1 in Workbook 3A.
4). Complete a reading record every 2 cycles.
English
Reading
You are required to take your home reading novel home every night. The
expectation is to read for a minimum of three 10 minute sessions a week and
reflect about your reading once a cycle. This will be completed in your Home
Reading Journal. Present this to your teacher.
Spelling
Using your Homework Spelling Study Book, practise your spelling words. This
may be done for 5 minutes a day or 15 to 20 minutes a cycle.
Optional Activities
Extend your 15 minutes reading sessions to 30 or 40 minutes per day.
