Crystal Yocum
Crystal Yocum is the daughter of Phil and Laurie Yocum
and younger sister to Amanda Yocum. Crystal plans to attend college at Northwest Missouri State University where
she plans on majoring in Business Management and Finance. After graduating from Northwest, Crystal plans on
starting her own business.
In her high school career, Crystal has received academic
achievement awards, as well as awards for Second Team All
Conference and District Volleyball. She was also the team
captain for cheerleading, volleyball, and basketball. Crystal
was also a Student Council class representative, FBLA secretary, National Honor Society vice-president, and FCCLA
president.

We had the opportunity to
attend Missouri State FFA
Convention on April 15, 16,
and 17.
There were nine of us
selected to participate this
year at the convention. Seven Fairfax students were
selected for State FFA Chorus: Leslie Bradley, Kolbe
Cooper, Ryan Hopkins, Tacy
Mitchell, Conner Marshall,
Emma Morris and me!
There were also two students chosen to participate
in this years media room,

Katelyn
Vernon
Katelyn Vernon is the daughter of Garret and Jennifer Vernon and the sister of James Vernon, Brandon Kehl,
Clayton Vernon, and Chloe Vernon. Katelyn will be attending Northwest Missouri State University like her older
brothers. Her goal is to major in Biology/Psychology. After
graduating from Northwest, Katelyn wants to work at the
Childrens Mercy Hospital in Kansas City as an Audiologist.
Katelyn was the Senior class treasurer and secretary.
She has received academic achievement awards, was the
student director for the Drama Department, and the Drum
Majorette for the Bulldog Marching Pride.

Earlier this year I had
the opportunity to compete
at the state level in the
Missouri Pet Breeders Associations prepared public
speaking contest. I was chosen from our district after
placing third at the area
level.
Miss Fields and I got to
make the trip down to Lebanon, Missouri, where MPBA
holds their annual conference. We got to meet some
friends for a meal and had
a great time. We spent some
time walking around the
conference hall, observing
all of the booths they had set
out and preparing to speak
that evening, we even got
