Todays Game: The Generals go for their eighth win in ten contests Thursday night in Chattanooga...It is
the second of a five-game series between the Generals and Lookouts at AT&T Field...Jackson edged Chattanooga
in last nights opener 4-3, giving them an impressive 5-2 mark in one-run contests...Tonights pitching matchup
features Misael Siverio, who is second in the Southern League with a .167 average against, opposing Tyler Duffey,
who is third in the circuit with 30 strikeouts...Chattanoogas roster features 12 of Minnesotas top 30 prospects
according to Baseball America, including the top three.
Versus Chattanooga:
This is the second of 20 regular season meetings between the Lookouts and
Generals in 2015. Jackson won the series opener on Wednesday...The teams play a pair of five-game series in
each half...Chattanooga travels to The Ballpark at Jackson June 6 through 10...These squads played 15 times in
2014, with the Lookouts taking eight...Jabari Blash played in 14 of those games. He hit just .224, but smashed a
pair of homers, drove in 11 runs and walked 15 times.
Going Streaking:
Dario Pizzanos two-run double in the seventh inning last night was big for a number
of reasons. It broke a 2-2 tie in a game Jackson would go onto win, but it also extended his league-best hitting
streak to 16 games...During this stretch, Pizzano is hitting .424 (28-for-66) with three doubles, a triple, a home
run and nine runs batted in...This is Pizzanos third career hitting streak of at least 12 games, with his last coming
for the 2013 Clinton LumberKings (19 games)...He has hit safely in 18 of his 19 appearances with nine multi-hit
games already...Pizzano leads the league in average (.411), ranks third in on-base percentage (.442) and fifth in
slugging percentage (.521).
Fridays 8-3 win was historic for Jackson as it was the teams
1200th victory since the franchise moved from Memphis in 1998...Overall, the team has a record 1201-1183
(.504)...920 of those wins and the teams lone Southern League title (in 2000) came as the West Tenn Diamond
Jaxx from 1998 to 2010...Since becoming a Mariners affiliate in 2007, the franchise is 547-585 (.483).

decision, but he retired the last 11 men he faced...The lefty set season-highs with 5.2 innings pitched and five strikeouts.
