theNSAalsoinformationaboutSiemenstapsiftheyareconducivetotheinterestsofthe
UnitedStatesevenifit'snotaboutsecurityissues.Thereweredoubts,nowthefactsareon
thetable.Masssurveillanceisreal,itisindustrialespionageoperated,andtheintelligence
servicesareworkingoutsidetheperceptionandcontrolofelectedofficialsandthejudiciary.It

officialsinthisoceanofcommunication,causedbythemasssurveillance.Thereareclose
selectorsthatmonitoraspecificsmartphoneasinglepersonorwider,forexample,takean
entirecompanyortheemailsystemofaministrytargeted.IntheNSAanalystscan,asIwas

surveillance.

:DoyouconsideritpossiblethattheNSAtriedtodeceivetheBND,andcheered
himEuropeanselectors?OristheGermanservicesodependentonUSinformationthathe
thinkshehastobeamorecomplianthelper?

:IthinkitisentirelypossiblethatNSAemployeeshaverealizedthattheBND,the
searchtermsarenotseriouslychecked.Andthattheythereforesawagoodchancenottobe
caught,andthe2002agreementconcludedinjuredstrategically.Inthisrespectalsogivesthe
amountofsearchtermsmeaning.BecausetheharderitisfortheBNDcoursetodiscover
criticalsearches.AndevenifhesucceededwhichisfromanAmericanperspectivebecause
therisk?TheNSAcansaysorryAnyway,thatwasamistake,guilthasapoorlytrained,

:Idonotknow.ButIobservethatcountriessuchasFrance,CanadaandAustralia,
allwithGermanyfriendlynations,intheprocessaretorestrictfundamentalrightssuchas
freedomofexpressionandtherighttoprivacydrastically.Thisisnotadomesticpolicy,not
evenaEuropeanissue,itisaglobal.AndactuallytheworldGermanyneedsatthisstage
morethanever.Thetimenowisnotaboutadmissionsofguilt,Germanyshouldtakeamoral
leadershipandtoshowthattherearerightandwrongwaystopursuenationalinterestsand
makesuggestionsforthenationalandglobalregulationoftheintelligenceservices.
