1. Cumulative Grade Point Average- 3.0278
-The first part of my high school education was riddled with personal struggles that led me to
lose some focus on my school work. While entering my spring semester of my junior year, I
learned and acquired skills to better cope with these personal struggles which allowed me to
maintain a better grade point average and work ethic, as my transcripts show. My senior year
grades and standardized test scores have increased even more so as I applied this honed work
ethic at the beginning of the semester, which led to a completion of 1st semester senior year with
a 3.71 grade point average.

President

-Four year/ board member of Chamber and Show Choir: Secretary, Section Leader
-President and Co-Founder of Greenhouse Club
-Member of Boy Scouts of America: Patrol Leader, Historian

3. Theatre Arts Participation:
While I had done scores of community theatre and childrens theatre productions, my
journey into serious commitment and involvement to the art of theatre started my first year of
high school. I joined Citrus Valleys theatre department its inaugural year and was elected by the
department to serve as a board member on the Thespian Troupe. With this newly acquired
position, I contributed in building the theatre departments standards and traditions, as well as
fulfilling my obligations as a board member. Over the next three years, I would continue on to
join the advanced theatre class, contribute to every theatre production possible, and participate in
theatre festivals at the state and national level all while challenging and discovering myself
artistically, both as an actor and technician.
Going into my junior year, I had an intuition that in addition to being involved with my
schools theatre department, I wanted to be involved with other theatre organizations to broaden
my artistic horizons and gain additional knowledge that would come with these experiences. This
first came about by being elected onto the CA State Thespian Student State Board. On this board,
the other student board members and I ran all state thespian events, including leadership
conferences and the CA State Thespian Festival. I also accomplished this creative broadening by
participation in other youth theatre programs and by training with both local teachers industry
professionals in order to have an array of perspectives on performing.
Fast forward to current day and I am now currently serving as my Thespian Troupes Vice
President, the CA State Thespian Societys social media chair, and in the fall attending the BFA
program at the Chicago Conservatory of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University to train as an
actor. With this education, in addition to working professionally, I wish to be an advocate of the
arts in high school settings. The arts provided many things for me in high school that other
interests could not. The arts gave me a shield of confidence when insecurity had struck, it gave
me a house and family when I felt I did not have one at my address, but most of all, it gave me a
sense of pride in what I was doing, through both success and tribulations.
