GeologicalSurveyofIndia
Concludingremarksbyexternalexperts:

The stage review is a good exercise to review the work done, self appraisal and midcourse
correction. Mission mode is useful for proper execution of projects. The young officers in GSI are
energetic. Targets may be revised for LSM, GM in NER considering the tough terrain, as the present
targetsareunrealistic.

Shri.U.K.Behera,DydirectorGeneral&Chairman,commentedthatmoretimewouldbegiven
for the next stage review as the young officers should get scope to present their work in detail. The
efforts of all officers in preparation of presentation and carrying out field work in difficult terrain are
appreciated. There are difficulties in NER, inspite of all constraints work is being done satisfactorily.
Previous data to be consulted before going to field as it will help in proper planning of work and
intrerpretation.

He suggested that the new finding should be given for uploading to GSI portal & case studies
