the best kept secrets in the IT support business.

WHAT CHANGED WITH BEANYWHERE


Were not being robbed blind anymore! Support, when/if needed, now exists whereas with
LogMeIn you would eventually get an answer from someone, regardless of whether they
were qualied to answer or not.
The switch to BeAnywhere has been smoothly adopted by clients who really dont think
much about the process unless it adds a burden to their day BeAnywhere lets us get in
and out painlessly when they need help the most and without them having to do anything
other than take their hands o the keyboard!
Because of the baked in video recording of every session, whether to an unattended agent
or the applet for ad-hoc sessions combined with the rich detail thats captured in every
session, very simply organized on the Admin page, our ability to troubleshoot a problem or
nd reference info after the session is incredibly enhanced. On top of that, the videos are
stored on BeAnywheres servers, not ours... we dont have to manage the storage!

OVERALL OPINION
In my personal and professional opinion, the BeAnywhere product is one of the best kept
secrets in the IT support business. I never thought there could be a product/service that was
as technically polished and performance rich as LogMeIns suite of tools, but I was wrong.
Not only does BeAnywhere have the same polish and performance, it has more tools
available to me to help me provide the critical services to our clients but also inherent
documentation and historical references that help us ensure accuracy in billing and service
provided. Additionally, its signicantly less expensive and perpetually updated with no
tricks in versioning or billing.

IMPLEMENTATION PROCESS
For us it was excellently simple. There really
is no implementation. Just start using it.
For the clients there was nothing to be
noticed, as we deploy it silently which is the
way our client users would prefer it they
dont want to be disrupted from their work.

LEARNING CURVE
The learning curve, for us, was non-existent. Weve been providing remote support
services to clients for over a decade using most every other tool out there, but
primarily LogMeIn in one form or another. The BeAnywhere product is generally
intuitive and any technician qualied to deliver support services to end users will have
no problems assimilating the BeAnywhere tools into their support routine with
minimal, if any, specialized knowledge or training.

BEANYWHERES ASSISTANCE
The technicians weve worked with
have been courteous and gave
satisfactory answers, usually
within less than an hour or so.

We have used tech support via email for


various questions about a given feature or
expected processes for our own internal
documentation. In every case, the
technicians weve worked with have been
courteous, received our questions and
responded with clarifying questions, if
needed, but in all cases gave satisfactory
answers or reference info that helped us get
past the issue at hand. The availability of
support appeared to be rather swift,
typically the same day, usually within less
than an hour or so.

FIRST APPROACH
I discovered BeAnywhere in a random
internet forum where the LogMeIn pricing
schemes were being discussed. Id never
heard of or seen references to BeAnywhere
before that time. I found the BeAnywhere.com
website to be interesting aesthetically, but the
real connection for me was reading through
the feature set, licensing scope (300 unattended
seats per technician) and then trying the product
rst hand. The installation, speed of the UI while
remotely controlling, the technical performance
indicators that are present during a session and
the audit trail that supports historical references
were beyond what I expected.
