I was asked to go down to Rio de Janeiro to help a small church in a variety of practical ministries
within the church while also ministering to the church body and surrounding community. Duties
involved revamping and installing a new audio system along with physically renovating the interior
and exterior of the church. Also I was heavily involved in teaching, personal and spiritual
counseling, organizing the church service along with going out on the streets compassionately
engaging and serving the needs of the people of Rio de Janeiro.

Volunteered in the “Hurricane Katrina” relief efforts. Hit the ground running by setting-up, organizing and
managing the day-to-day operation of Mt. Carmel’s Distribution Warehouse. Duties included; coordinating and
supervising volunteers, Missionary groups and church members in scheduling and making deliveries of
emergency supplies to the other hard-hit churches along the Gulf Coast. Later, when Mt. Carmel began a local
Outreach Program, I took on additional responsibilities as a Lead Carpenter and Coordinator to renovate and fix-
up neighborhood houses to be used by the families displaced by “Katrina.”

Responsible for scheduling, motivating and job assignments for 75 volunteers in the weekly transformation of a
local High School for Sunday morning Church services (2300 members.) Duties included the supervision and
coordination of crews in the setting up of audio, video and other technical requirements in the auditorium along
with arranging, preparing and setting-up the various classrooms used for Bible studies, nurseries, Children
ministries and other special event activities.
