Canadian Culture

Have, Think & Do

HAVE

What is it/How does it fit?

Milk in a bag is not unique to Canada, it is preferred in some Eastern
European countries along with India. However it is still considered an
anomaly by many people and places. Bags were adopted because they create
less waste than plastic jugs, though they are less convenient.
Milk bags are physical objects that many people in Canada have. It is not a big
thing or even an important difference but in many ways Canada culture is
similar to other Western countries. An added difference is how it was shaped
and influenced by a variety of other cultures. In this case it is important to
note that the usage of this product came about by being environmentally
aware.

THINK

What is it/How does it fit?

Christianity is the predominant religion is Canada, remnants of European
settlers than first colonized Canada. Some 80% of Canadians are Christian,
which is approximately 28,128,000 people. The major divisions are Roman
Catholicism, the United Church and the Orthodox tradition.
Religion is fundamental to a persons beliefs as it influences the major aspects
of their life. There is no one universally accepted truth, which makes it very
much a think, as you get to make up your own mind. Despite its prevalence
among Canadians the country is still religiously diverse but lacks an
establishment clause separating church and state.

DO

What is it/How does it fit?

Winter sports are popular in Canada in part because of the climate, which
makes being involved in those sports more logical. There are many different
kinds of winter sports but some popular ones are skiing, snowboarding,
tobogganing and ice hockey. Normally confined to the winter there are many
locations, indoors or further north, where these activities can be enjoyed year
round.
Winter sports is a do because it covers a variety of activities that you
participate in. It is something that can be done professionally or for pure
entertainment. It attracts people of all ages and throughout the year.
