Chris said he doesn’t
broadcast his hobby to
the neighbors, but he’s
not ashamed to enjoy his
suds, either. And he’s had
no trouble finding like-
minded friends in Cache
Valley.
“We definitely don’t
stick our necks out and
we’d never, like, try and
have a beer festival in
Logan or anything,” he
said. “But there’s a com-
munity.”
That community is
remarkably active, said
Chris. Since moving to
Logan from Salt Lake
City a year ago, he said
he’s met more people who
share his interest here than
he ever did in Salt Lake,
and they meet monthly
to share their brews.
He wouldn’t describe
his group’s activities as
“underground,” but the
members try to keep a low
profile, he said. (Several
other Logan home-brew-
ers declined to be inter-
viewed for this story.)
