Responsibilities

Applyingtothispostingputsyouinpotentialconsiderationfor:
FinancialReporting/Advisory&AssuranceInternship
TheProfessionalInternwillbeanintegralpartoftheWaltDisneyParks&ResortsFinancialReportingorAdvisory
&Assuranceteams.Responsibilitiesmayinclude,butarenotlimitedtothefollowing:
Assistwiththemonthendcloseprocess,includingvarianceanalysisandexecutivereporting
EnsurefinancialstatementsarepreparedinaccordancewithGenerallyAcceptedAccountingPrinciples
Performbalancesheetaccountreconciliations
Provideoverallsupporttothedepartment
ReviewoperatingguidelinesandprocessestoensurecompliancewithCompanypolicy
Conductinternalcontrolreviewstoidentifycontrolrisksandimplementchangesandenhancementsthroughout
theThemeParksandResorts.
BusinessOperationsInternship
TheWaltDisneyParks&ResortsBusinessOperationsdepartmentisresponsibleformanagingallbusinessaffairs
relatingtoCurrencyOperations,CreditCardOperations,ReceivableOperations,SalesAuditandTicketFulfillment
withintheglobalParksandResortsFinanceorganization.Internresponsibilitiescanincludebutarenotlimitedto:
Compilediversifiedandcomplexstatisticalanalysesandreports
Identifyandimplementchanges,supportedwithrelevantanalyses,thatstreamlinebusinessprocesses
Auditsales,bothinternalandfromthirdparties,toensureaccuracyandcompleteness
ReviewthirdpartyParticipantcontractstoensurecompliancewithfinancialterms
Compileanalysesthatidentifythecostsassociatedwithcreditcardacceptanceincludingcreditcard
commissions,chargebacksandpotentialfraud
FinancialSystemsInternship
TheFinancialSystemsdepartmentisaglobalorganizationwithintheWaltDisneyParksandResortssegment
focusedonenablingaccurateFinancialStatementsandefficientFinancialTransactionprocessingthroughproject
management,continuousimprovement,dataintegrityandsystemfunctionality.Internresponsibilitiescaninclude

Developandimplementthestrategyforthefutureoffinancetechnology
Ensuredatasecurityandcontrolsmeetallauditrequirements(e.g.,SarbanesOxley)
GuidethedevelopmentandenhancementofthesystemsusedtomakevitalbusinessdecisionsPartnerwithIT
andFinancebusinessownerstomanagethetotalfinanceimpactfromsystemchanges
PartnerwithWaltDisneyParksandResortsdepartmentstostandardizethedefinitionsandprocessesused
aroundtheglobe
OperationsFinanceInternship
TheProfessionalInternwillberesponsibleforvariousareasofOperationsFinanceincludingbutnotlimitedto
ThemeParksFinance,ResortsFinance,LineofBusinessFinance,HRFinance,andITFinance.Responsibilities
mayinclude,butarenotlimitedtothefollowing:
Gatherdatafromoperationalareasforthepurposeofdevelopingfinancialplans,budgetsorforecasts.Assistin
analyzing,summarizingandinputtingthedataintothefinancialsystems
Understandoverallbusinessprocesses,identifyopportunitiesforimprovementandsupportrecommendations
withrelevantanalyses
Obtain,validateandcompilestatisticaldatafromavarietyofsources,operationalandfinancial.Develop
computermodelsusingstandardfinancetoolssuchasexcel,toperformbusinessanalysesinanaccurateand
timelymanner
Partnerwithoperationsandfinancialareastosolvecomplexbusinessproblems,improveprocesses,anddevelop
newanalyticaltoolsthatwillenableimprovedbusinessresultsInalltheroles,youwillbeexpectedtoestablish
yourselfasaresponsibleandresponsivememberoftheteam.Inadditiontothespecificresponsibilitiesnoted,
