The Swiss Nanoscience Institute (SNI) launches a call for proposals for PhD
researchprojectsinthefieldofnanoscience.

The Swiss Nanoscience Institute (SNI) launches its

third call for PhD projects in nanoscience. Each
successful project will become part of the PhD
program in nanoscience initiated in 2012 by the
SNI. The selected PhD candidates will become
junior members of the SNI. They will benefit from
personal support and training in soft skillsoffered
in the context of the PhD Program and will be
invited to internal SNI events. Currently, the SNI
supports twentyfive research projects within its
PhDprogram.

Scope: The proposed research should address a

novel undertaking in nanoscience and nanotech
nology with roots in disciplines such as physics,
chemistry,biology,medicineandengineering.Pre
ference will be given to projects where the nano
science and interdisciplinary aspects are at the
coreoftheproposal.

On the first page, start with the project title and

names of the two PIs with affiliations (please,
indicate the faculty responsible professor). The
proposal shall follow in free format (max. two A4
pages in total). Add a CV of one page per PI and
merge all documents into one single pdffile. Use
