Coming home from a restful vacation is nice.

Leaving on
vacation knowing your responsibilities will be covered is even nicer.
Thank you to the staff and Deacons that covered for me last week.
It made my week better knowing all was in hand here. A special
thanks to Dr. Ernest Purcell and Jeff Baxley for filling in for me on
Wednesday and Sunday evening respectfully. And, thank you to the
Gideons for their reports in the morning worship services.
Summer is upon us and that means activities for all ages.
Next Wednesday night will be our annual Church Picnic at the Ball
Fields. We will have a cookout, ball games and lots of fun. Plan to
bring your lawn chair and join us at the Bainbridge Recreation Field
#2. Same place as last year.
Speaking of summer, dont let summer rob you of worship
and service. Want to break tradition, lets make summer worship a
priority and lets remember to keep our giving up all summer long.
We want to have a Parent/Child Dedication Service on
Fathers Day, June 21. If you would like to participate please
contact the church office. This is open to the community as well as
members.
Sundays comin and I cant wait to see you then!
Paul

VBS Help
You might not be able to help each night with VBS, but maybe you
could help with counting change. We would like to have some
volunteers at 10:00 Monday-Thursday mornings to help count the
change that is collected each night. If you are willing to help any of
these mornings, please see Stacey or call the church office to
volunteer.

JOHNNY PAYNE IN CONCERT

Make plans to join us at 6:30 PM, Sunday, May 31st, as
we host Johnny Payne in concert. Johnny, a native of Vidalia, Ga., resides here in Bainbridge where he serves as
Director of Worship at Friendship House of Jesus Ministries and at the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church.
Johnny accepted our invitation to come after we were
overwhelmed by his musical gifts and humble Christian
spirit, when he sang when the Friendship House of Jesus
Ministries Choir shared last February. A freewill offering will be received.

SAINTS ALIVE TO SHARE

We will meet at 9:15 AM this coming Monday, June 1 at
RIVERSIDE PLACE, 1115 West College Street. I will
have our books and music prepared to sing. After singing
at RIVERSIDE PLACE, we will travel next door to
BAINBRIDGE HEALTHCARE, and share with the
residents there. Those who want to have lunch afterward
can pick their favorite spot!

FELLOWSHIP CLUB
Our leadership team (Barbara & Harold Fleshman,
Clarene & Lewis Jones, Betty Moore and Ernest Purcell)
are always on the lookout for new and captivating speakers and programs that will be of interest. Please contact
one of our leadership team with your suggestions and input. Your opinion is important to us as we grow closer to
the Lord!
CHANCEL CHOIR
A word of appreciation to members of the Chancel Choir for a
touching rendition of Blades of Grass and Pure White
Stones for our Memorial Day Service. Many were blessed!
