WHY YISRAEL PRAYS TOWARDS YAHRUSHALIM (JERSALEM)

We have been given specific instructions on how to pray as a people who

have been taken captive into another land. We must understand why we
have been taken captive, then what we can do to reverse our captivity.
Sadly, many of our people are so accustom to this land and way of life
here, that they do not see or understand that we are in a captivity. Master
Yahuwah always provides away for His people to come back to Him, and
away to come back to their land. The toughest battle we face today is
getting our people to understand that they need to turn back to Him in
order to go back to a land that most of us do not realize or recognize is
ours.
Many will say we are not in a captivity. My question would be this. Are you
in this land because you or your forefathers chose to be here? Did your
forefathers come here on their own or against their will? Most of us would
have to say no because our forefathers and foremothers were forced to
come here on slave ships. Very few of our people (very, very, few) came to
this country on their own. So in all actuality, we are captives in this land.
Many of us could not afford to leave if we wanted to. However the sad part
is many of us would not want to leave because we have been taught to
love our captivity so we do not see it as a captivity. This has been by
design. Satan does not want us to know we are Yisrael because once we
found out who we are, by our obedience and prayer we could reverse our
captivity. So he has caused us to love a place that is not ours. He has
caused us to not turn toward our set-apart (Holy) city and pray for our
redemption.

King Shelomohs (Solomons ) Prayer

1Ki 8:22 And Solomon stood before the altar of YAHWEH, across from the assembly of Israel,
and spread his hands toward the heavens;
1Ki 8:23 and said, YAHWEH, Elohim of Israel, there is no Elohim like You in the heavens above
or on the earth beneath; who keeps covenant and mercy with Your servants that
walk before You with all their heart;
1Ki 8:24 who have kept for Your servant David, my father, that which You spoke to him; yea,
You spoke with Your mouth, and with Your hand have fulfilled it as it is this day.
1Ki 8:25 And now, YAHWEH, Elohim of Israel, keep for Your servant David, my father, that
which You spoke to him, saying, There shall not be cut off from you a man from before Me,
sitting on the throne of Israel; only, if your sons watch their way, to walk before Me as you
have walked before Me.
1Ki 8:26 And now, O Elohim of Israel, let it be established, I beseech You, Your Word which You
have spoken to Your servant, my father David.

1Ki 8:27 But will Elohim dwell in truth on the earth? Behold, the heavens and Heaven of the
heavens cannot contain You; how much less this house which I have built!
1Ki 8:28 Yet You have turned toward the prayer of Your servant, and to his supplication, O
YAHWEH my Elohim, to listen to the cry and to the prayer which Your servant is praying
before You today;
We see that King Shelomohs (Solomonss) prayer stance was with his arms
spread wide open towards the heavens, and the Master Yahuwah keeps
covenant with those servants that walk before HIM with all their hearts. It is a
good example of a prayer stance to THE MOST HIGH.
1Ki 8:29 for Your eyes are open toward this house night and day, toward the place of which You
have said, My name shall be there; to listen to the prayer which Your servant prays
toward this place.
1Ki 8:30 And You shall listen to the supplication of Your servant, and of Your
people Israel when they shall pray toward this place; yea, You shall listen in
Your dwelling-place, in Heaven; and You shall hear and shall forgive.
1Ki 8:31 If any man sins against his neighbor, and an oath be exacted of him to cause him to
swear, and the oath has come before Your altar in this house,
1Ki 8:32 then You shall hear in Heaven, and shall act, and shall judge Your servants, to declare
the wicked to be wicked, to put his way on his head, and to declare the righteous to be
righteous, to give him according to his righteousness.
We can see a example of this in Daniel 6:10. He turned toward Master Yahuwahs
dwelling place and prayed. Another is in Daniel 9:1-5.
Many can say this prayer was for when the temple existed. However Solomon said
if they pray toward this place YOU SHALL LISTEN IN YOUR DWELLINGPLACE, IN HEAVEN! Its not that the temple has to exist, what is important is
that we turn toward the place where it was located and that is in Jerusalem.
Then Master Yahuwah in His dwelling place will listen.
Pay close attention to the bold sentences!
1Ki 8:33 When Your people Israel are stricken before the enemy, when they sin against You, if
they turn again to You, and confess Your name, and pray and make supplication to You in
this house;
1Ki 8:34 then You shall hear in Heaven, and shall forgive the sin of Your people
Israel, and shall bring them back to the land that You gave to their fathers.
1Ki 8:35 When the heavens are restrained, and there is no rain, because they have sinned
against You, and they have prayed toward this place, and confess Your name, and have
turned from their sin because You have afflicted them,
1Ki 8:36 then You shall hear in Heaven, and shall forgive the sin of Your servants, and of Your
people Israel, for You shall teach them the good way in which they shall go, and shall give
rain on Your land which You have given to Your people for an inheritance.
1Ki 8:37 When there is famine in the land; when there is pestilence, blasting, mildew, locusts;
when there is the stripping locust; when its enemy has distressed it in the land in its gates;
any plague, any sickness,
1Ki 8:38 any prayer, any supplication that shall come from any man of all of
Your people Israel, who shall each know the plague of his own heart, and
shall spread his hands toward this house,

1Ki 8:39 then You shall hear in Heaven Your dwelling place and shall forgive and
shall act, and shall give to each according to all his ways, whose heart You
know (for You have known, You alone, the heart of all the sons of Adam),
1Ki 8:40 so that they shall fear You all the days that they are living on the face of
the land that You have given to our fathers.
1Ki 8:41 And also, to the stranger who is not of Your people Israel, and has come from a land
afar off for Your name's sake,
1Ki 8:42 (for they shall hear of Your great name, and of Your strong hand, and of Your stretched
out arm, and he shall have come in and prayed toward this house,)
1Ki 8:43 You shall hear in Heaven, Your dwelling place, and shall do according to all that the
stranger calls to You for, so that all the peoples of the earth may know Your name, to fear
You like Your people Israel, and to know that Your name has been called on this house which
I have built.
1Ki 8:44 If Your people shall go out to battle against its enemy, in the way that You have sent
them, and they have prayed to YAHWEH the way of the city which You have chosen, and of
the house which I have built for Your name,
1Ki 8:45 then hear their prayer and their supplication in Heaven, and perform their cause.
He prays MASTER YAH will hear his people and bring them back to the land of
their fathers. Do we as a people who have been taken captive live in the land
that is our fathers? No we dont but if we pray, we can pray to go back to the
land of our fathers. That land is Yisrael (Israel). Satan knows this.
Let the scripture speak to your being in these next verses because ther pertain to
your forefathers and you!
1Ki 8:46 When they sin against You (for there is not a man who does not sin) and You have
been angry with them, and have given them up before an enemy, and they
have been led away into captivity to the land of the enemy, far off or near;
1Ki 8:47 and they have turned their heart back in the land where they have been
taken captive, and have repented, and made supplication to You in the land of
their captors, saying, We have sinned and done perversely; we have done
wickedly;
1Ki 8:48 and, they have turned back to You with all their heart, and with all their
soul, in the land of their enemies who have taken them captive, and have
prayed to You the way of their land which You gave to their fathers, the city which
You have chosen, and the house which I have built for Your name,
1Ki 8:49 then You shall hear their prayer and their supplication in Heaven Your
dwelling place, and shall perform their cause,
1Ki 8:50 and shall forgive Your people who have sinned against You, even all their
transgressions which they have transgressed against You, and shall give
them mercy before their captors, and they shall have mercy on them.
1Ki 8:51 For they are Your people and Your inheritance, whom You brought out of
Egypt, out of the midst of the furnace of iron;
1Ki 8:52 for Your eyes shall be open to the supplication of Your servant, and to the supplication
of Your people Israel, to listen to them in all that they call to You for;

He said When they sin against You, which our forefathers did in the
land. When you become enraged with them and give them to the
enemy, which He did to our forefathers. When they have turned their

heart back in the land where they have been taken captive!!! Have we
done this yet? Have we turned our hearts back to Master Yah and
repented and made supplications? Most of us do not even know to pray for
our forefathers, and on their behalf (Leviticus 26:40). This sounds like the
Israel spoken of in Deuteronomy 28:1-68 and Leviticus 26. It does because
we are the children of Yisrael (Israel).
We know that our forefathers were taken into three captivities. Assyria,
Babylon and the countries of the MUSLIM (EAST) AND TRANSATLANTIC
SLAVE TRADE (WEST). We must understand that prophecy in scripture can
have duplicity (double) and triplicate (triple) meaning. This prayer is for
every captivity that Yisrael (Israel) went into. He tells us specifically what
to do.
1Ki 9:3 And YAHWEH said to him, I have heard your prayer and your supplication with which
you have made supplication before Me; I have sanctified this house that you have built to put
My name there forever; and My eyes and My heart shall be there forever.
Master Yah has placed His name there forever. We know the temple is not there, however THE
MOST HIGH s eyes are always on that location. Always on Jerusalem. Look at what is
written in Psalms.
Psa 137:1 There by the rivers of Babylon we sat down; also we wept when we remembered Zion.
Psa 137:2 We hung our lyres on the willows in its midst.
Psa 137:3 For there our captors asked us the words of a song; yea, our plunderers asked joy,
saying, Sing to us a song of Zion.
Psa 137:4 How shall we sing the song of YAHWEH on a foreign soil?
Psa 137:5 If I forget you, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget;
Psa 137:6 let my tongue cleave to my palate, if I do not remember you, if I do not
bring up Jerusalem above the head of my joy.
Psa 137:7 O YAHWEH, remember for the sons of Edom the day of Jerusalem; who said, Make it
bare! Make it bare even to its foundation!
Psa 137:8 O daughter of Babylon, O destroyed one! Blessed is he who shall repay to you your
recompense which you dealt to us.
Psa 137:9 Blessed is he who seizes your little ones and dashes them against the stone!
We see that Jerusalem is very important to Master Yah, and it should be to us as well. How can
we sing a song of joy? Easy, because we do not know who we are as a people. We do not
know to pray toward Jerusalem. We do not know we are a people who have been taken
captive in a land that was strange to our ancestors.
In closing how do we reverse all of this? By turning back to His commands and believing on His
Messiah Yahusha (whom they call Jesus). These verses are the Key.
Deu 30:1 And it shall be when all these things have come on you, the blessing and the curse
which I have set before you among all the nations where YAHWEH your Elohim
shall banish you, you shall bring these things back to your heart;
Deu 30:2 and shall turn back to YAHWEH your Elohim and listen to His voice, according to
all that I am commanding you today, you and your sons with all your heart,
and with all your soul;

Deu 30:3 then YAHWEH your Elohim will turn your captivity, and He will have pity
on you, and will return and gather you from all the nations where YAHWEH
your Elohim has scattered you.
Deu 30:4 If you are cast out to the end of the heavens, YAHWEH your Elohim shall
gather you from there, and He shall take you from there.
Deu 30:5 And YAHWEH your Elohim shall bring you into the land which your fathers
have possessed, and you shall inherit it; and He shall do you good and multiply you
above your fathers.
Deu 30:6 And YAHWEH your Elohim will circumcise your heart, and the heart of your seed, to
love YAHWEH your Elohim with all your heart, and with all your soul, that you may live.
Lets turn back to the FATHER and obey His commands. Lets make Jerusalem our
chief joy. Lets pray with open arms toward our Set-Apart City and ask for the
forgiveness of our forefathers and for our sins. We do not pray towards the east
as the Muslims do. We pray towards our home land. If we are in California we
pray westward toward the Set-Apart City. On the east coast we pray toward the
east because Jerusalem is closest to the east. May Yah give understanding. I
pray this edifies you. Shalom from your brother,
YoshiYah
