Adam was born in Los Angelis and he also grew up

when the band was created in high school. He has also
received three Grammy Awards, two Billboard Music
Awards, two American Music Awards, an MTV Video
Music Award and a World Music Award. He has
collaborated with the Ying Yang Twins in l "Live Again"
Kanye West's album Late Registration in the third
single, "Heard 'Em Say", appeared on Alicia Keys' third
album Alicia Keys: MTV Unplugged, as part of the cover
The Rolling Stones song "Wild Horses

PJ Mortan
Birth name: Paul Morton, Jr.
Born: March 29, 1981
Been in the band: since 2012
PJ was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States.
In 2010, his friend and Maroon 5's musical director
Adam Blackstone asked him to audition for a
keyboardist/backing vocalist spot in the band. PJ was
the first to audition and left and stunned the whole
group. Since then, he has played with Maroon 5 in
concerts and other live performances. From 2012 to
2014 Morton filled-in for the band's keyboardist, Jesse
Carmichael, who was taking a temporary break from
performing with the band, as stated on their official
website in March 2012. In 2012, he joined the band as
a permanent member, contributing his vocals and
keyboard parts to Maroon 5's album.

Jesse Charmical
Full name: Jesse Royal Carmichael
Age: 36
Born: April 2, 1979
Been in the band: since 1994
Jesse Carmichael was born in Boulder, Colorado, United
States. His father, Bob Carmichael, is a photographer,
who also takes pictures during Maroon 5's tours. Jesse
also has a younger sister, Annie. He first started playing
the guitar in junior high, rather than the keyboard. His
favourite Genres are pop rock, alternate rock and blue
eyed soul.

Matt Flynn
Born: May 23, 1970
Full name: Matthew Flynn
Been in the band: since 2002
Matt was born in Woodstock, New York. When he was
14 years old, he picked up his first pair of drumsticks
in his father's basement and immediately started
drumming the beat to "Jump" by Van Halen,
impressing his father greatly. Later that year he came
third in his high school talent show, behind stand-up
comedian Daniel Tosh and a dance crew known as
"Tropic Lightning". He graduated from Gunn High
School and briefly attended San Diego State University

James Valentine
Born: October 5, 1978
Full name: James Burgon Valentine
Been in the band: since 1996
James was born in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was raised as a
member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
(Mormon) and has three sisters and one brother. His mother is a
former beauty queen, who was a school teacher before
becoming a stay-at-home Mom to raise her five children. James
is an Eagle Scout. He was the president of his high school
Lincoln Southeast High School's student council in Lincoln,
Nebraska. In addition to guitar, James is also a percussionist,
playing in orchestra and jazz band in his youth.
