AGIOS NIKOLAOS WINTER DARTS LEAGUE 2014/2015

RULES & REGULATIONS


1. Dartboard Setup:
1.1. Floor to Bull height 1.72m
1.2. Bull to Oche 2.37m
1.3. A wooden (or metal) oche must be used.
1.4. Dartboard must have good lighting without shadows from the darts.
2. Team Players:
2.1. All teams must provide a list of their players before the start of the season.
2.2. Each team can have a maximum of 10 players and a minimum of 6 players at each event.
2.3. If a team has only 5 players they will forfeit (lose) 3 legs (1 treble, 1 double & 1 single)
2.4. If a team has only 4 players they will forfeit (lose) 6 legs (2 trebles, 2 doubles & 2 singles)
2.5. If a team has less than 4 players they will have to forfeit the whole match therefore losing 11-0.
2.6. It is allowed to loan a player from the opposition on the night if they are happy to do this.
3. Players Transfers:
Players cannot be transferred between teams except between the first and second rounds.
4. Match Night:
4.1. Games to be played every Tuesday night.
4.2. Teams must arrive at venue by 8.30pm and games will start at 9.00pm.
4.3. Players who not present by the start time (9.00pm) are not allowed to participate in the match
unless approved by the opposition.
Failure to attend or arriving late can result in forfeiting games.
5. Schedule Changes:
5.1. If a team cannot play on the Tuesday due to a venue problem they can swap to the away teams
venue. This must be arranged between the captains and not less than two days before the match.
5.2. If a team cannot play on the Tuesday for any other reason they must arrange another day with the
other team not less than two days before the match. The match must be played by the Friday of
the same week.
5.3. All schedule change requests must be made more than 24 hours before the match. Failure to do
this will mean forfeiting the match (losing 11-0).
5.4. The organisers must also be informed of all schedule changes.
6. The home team MUST provide one marker and one checker.
7. Order of Play (Team list):
7.1. The order of play is to be nominated, written down and submitted before the start of the match.
7.2. Players cannot be listed to play 2 games in a row. For example, they cannot play in the last treble
and then the first double or in the last double and first single etc.
7.3. The gallon can include up to 10 players and does not have to have the same number of players in
each team.

8. Away team to throw first for the Gallon.


Away team to throw first on odd numbered games (i.e. first). Home team to throw first on even
numbered games.
9. A two minute warm up is allowed at the beginning of each game.
10. Other team members must NOT approach the Oche while a player is taking their turn.
11. No smoking is allowed on the Oche.
12. After a throw a player must NOT remove their darts until the score has been checked and confirmed.
Failure to do this will result in a no score!
13. Singles, Doubles and Trebles are 501. The Gallon is 1001.
14. One point is awarded for each game won.
For the Gallon points are awarded against the loser which is the number of points they have left when
the game is won. The final Gallon winner will be the team with the least points. A prize will be awarded
to the player with the highest checkout throughout the season.
15. Final Standings:
At the end of the league matches the final standings are based on the number of points gained after
two rounds (home & away). In the event of two or more teams having the same number of points, the
order will be based on the number of matches won throughout the league matches.
16. It is generally accepted that the home team will provide food/snacks for all the team players, either
during or at the end of the match.
17. The overall winners will be awarded a trophy at a darts presentation night to be held at the winning
teams venue.

2 x Trebles
3 x Doubles
6 x Singles (Best of 3 legs)
