Digital age is advantageous to everyone in terms of timely communication, instant messaging
is more widespread in organizations in terms of interpersonal communication, but sometimes
the absence of a physical presence where emotions are involved cancels the interaction
between the speaker and the recipient in clarifying situations. Miscommunication starts from
choosing what kind of medium you are using in delivering a particular message, sometimes if

sending a message through text or email without checking or reviewing the contents can end
up badly, and assuming that your message has been understood, sometimes even delivering
bad news can cause misunderstandings because there is no way you can soften difficult

alternative for both parties are using appropriate communication means relative to
the message delivered. Thought should be given to what appropriate channels
should be used for effective communication. Complicated messages needs richer
channels of communication to ensure clarity in the messages delivered. By giving
importance in using the right channel in communicating, you are giving
significance in improving communication with their immediate superiors so that
misunderstanding can be prevented. By using appropriate mixture of both face-toface meetings and computer mediated communications, this will serve best the
interests of both parties.
