A MESSAGE FROM OUR GOVERNOR

Dear Members:
Thank you for electing me Governor for the 2015-2016 Moose year. I would like to congratulate
both the Loyal Order of Moose and the Women of the Moose on their elections of new officers. Together
we will make this a great year for our children and seniors as well as for our community.
Our first order of business will be the Chicken BBQ on Saturday, June 20, 2015. Tickets need to
be purchased ahead of time so we will know how much food to make. It is a great event and we will be
looking for volunteers to help. There will be several events held during the summer so be sure to read
the posters that will be displayed in the Lodge's lobby advertising these events.
If anyone has any questions or ideas for events, please do not hesitate to let me know.
Fraternally,
Jim Sheftz

A MESSAGE FROM OUR CHAPTER OFFICERS

Dear Members:
OMG, another Chapter year is over already. I had so much fun and learned a lot more
about the Moose Fraternity. How hard some of us worked to help the children of Mooseheart
and us young older folks at Moosehaven.
Back in February we had our second annual Valentine's Pajama Party. Due to the
inclement weather, we didn't have a big turnout, but all of us who were able to make it had a
fun time.
The St. Patrick's Day Party went very well. The food was great and a good time was had
by all. Thank you Lorraine Cannon and crew for your hard work.
Our April Easter Flower Sale went very well. Thanks to Pat Owens for her efforts in getting
the flowers for us to sell and to the members who supported this fundraiser, along with our
Easter Cookie sale.
Rita Anderson and her crew did a beautiful job creating food from all over the world at our
recent International Night Buffet and Party. What a great time it was for all who attended.
We are now looking forward to the Start of Summer Party on June 2611. Before you know it,
we will be hosting the end of Summer Party on August 28th. Be sure to look for the Chapter's
upcoming summer raffles. And don't forget the Chapter's Clam Bake on July 22. I hope each of
you have a safe and wonderful summer.
In Faith, Hope, and Charity,
Lorraine Talarico Smith

The other way is to realize that everything is a miracle.

You do not blame them on your mother, the ecology, or the president. You realize that you

Leadership is not a magnetic personality that can just as well be a glib tongue.
Leadership is not making friends and influencing people that is flattery.
Leadership is lifting a person's vision to high sights, the raising of a person's performance
to a higher standard, the building of a personality beyond its normal limits.
