Digital Encryption Module - DM 600

DM 600 Digital
Encryption
Module

Digital (White Noise) High Level Encryption Module

Voice compression algorithm

Number of code keys = (4 Billion) 4,294,967,296 or 232

Individual or Group call, PTT- ID, Radio Kill, Radio Check &
Emergency (with certain models)

Transparent encoding does not affect speech quality

Dramatically reduces interference even from other users on

the SAME channel!!

Plug-in and wire-in modules for most makes of radios

including Vertex, Motorola, Kenwood and Icom,

Totally Secure Communications

In the on going battle to combat

eavesdropping the much more sophisticated
method of encryption or voice scrambling is
the digital voice encryption. A method that is
impossible to decrypt .

High Level Security

The NABISHI DM 600 Digital Encryption

module is a high level encryption device for
Governmental, Security, Police and the
Military.

Dramatic Interference or Interruption

Reduction

More importantly, when Digital Encryption is

used, there is a dramatic reduction of
interference or interruption to a call between
individual or Group users (or transmission
from other users/groups who do not have the
correct KEY)

Password Access

The plug-in modules cannot be accessed for

programming or reading of information
without a (user definable) password for
security against equipment getting into the
wrong hands and the KEY code being
revealed.

On-Air Kill or Stun

Stolen radios can also be stunned or disabled

on-air. There is NO Degradation of service
if Encryption is used through a Repeater

Digital KEYS

Encryption is achieved by digitizing the

voice signal and encrypting it with
random key stream data which means
that the voice is first converted into
noughts and ones and then further
scrambled. Then this jumbled up data is
transmitted along with its KEY to the
receiving radio which providing it has the
correct key to match is able to reverse
the process and intelligent voice signal is
heard. The Key is a number selected at
random at the start of every
transmission. For the eaves dropper, all
that is heard is a continuous white noise
which sounds as if the squelch is open

Dedicated Plug-in Modules

NABISHI D600 is a module that is simply

plugged into the Vertex VX-800, VX-900
hand helds and VX-3200, VX-4000,
VX-5000 and VX-6000 mobile radios.
When used, the NABISHI DM 600 works
transparently without impairing speech
intelligibility and dramatically increases
the range of transmission. Modules are
also available for Icom, Kenwood and
Motorola radios. (Wired or plug-in)

Computer Aided Despatch

Optional hardware and software is

available for controlling a fleet of radios
fitted with DM-600 modules (Caller ID and
GPS functionality etc.) using data burst in
the same channel (transparently, with
voice transmission).
