About the event
OFFROAD MAESTRO 2015 is a competitive event to test the capability of
the Drivers, spotters and ultimately the Machine. The competitors will be put to test
by letting them drive through special stages, manoeuvre over obstacles (rough terrain,
steep gradient, slush pits and mud ruts etc) natural or artificial and also test their
ability to use recovery equipments.

Vehicle requirements & category
(1) Offroad Maestro 2015 will be an open class competition, i.e the vehicles will
not be CATEGORISED.
(2) Vehicles must have a windshield, bonnet & doors.
(3) Open Jeeps will not be allowed without rollover bar or roll-cage and seat
belt.
(4) Items carried in the vehicle must be secured adequately while the vehicle is in
motion
(5) Wheels and tires
(a) Agricultural/industrial tires will not be allowed.
(b) Wheel chains of any type are not allowed during competition.
(c) Tyres must have at least 60% tread depth.
(d) One spare wheel is to be carried at all times and securely mounted on or
inside the vehicle.
(6) Rollover bars and rollcage are recommended ( Not mandatory)
(7) Waterproofing/snorkel is highly recommended (temporary snorkels will be
allowed)
**In case of temporary snorkel routed through the headlamp opening,
working Auxiliary lights should be installed.
**vehicle without snorkels may not be allowed in some SS.

Rules and regulations of the event
1) The event will have a series of Special stages (Herein referred to as SS) which is a
combination of obstacles.
2) Each SS will be manned by an SS marshal and his team.
3) Driver and Co-Driver will be the only persons allowed in the competing vehicle during an
SS.
4) Driver and co-driver combination will remain the same for the entire event, alternating
between driver and co-driver for any particular SS is allowed, provided they obtain prior
permission from the particular track marshal.
*permission will be granted only if the driver is injured and recommended fit to act
as co-driver by the first aid team.
5) Replacement driver and co-driver will not be allowed.
6) Each SS will be allotted a stipulated time for completion which will be let known to the
competitors at the start of the stage.
*Beyond the stipulated time, the competitors shall remove itself from the
SS through the shortest route or as directed by the SS marshal.
*if a vehicle needs recovery after the stipulated time, the same shall be
done with the help of the SS marshals and the Recovery Co-ordinator of the
event
7) The SS will be self timed by the driver. The driver shall stop the clock after the front
wheels of the vehicle cross the finishing line.
8) Starting order for each SS will be by determined by draw of luck.
9) Any vehicle not ready to start at the time the previous vehicle leaves the SS will be
pushed down to the end of the starting lineup with a penalty, further failing to report or
start as the last vehicle finishes the SS, It shall be deemed a non-starter and a DNS
recorded.
10) Points will be awarded based on the minimum elapsed time as follows,

11) The final SS standings will be calculated on points scored as per elapsed time minus
penalties involved.
12) Penalties will be awarded as follows,
(1) Breaking a bunting or knocking over peg
(2) Unsecured recovery equipment
(3) Failure to wear seat belt correctly.
(4) Failure to wear helmet correctly.
(5) Riding on outside of vehicle.
(6) Failure to follow course/event directions or rules
(7) Recovery aided by SS marshals
* if a vehicle needs recovery within the stipulated time, the same shall be
let known to the SS marshal by the driver or co-driver and Recovery shall be
done with the help of the Recovery Co-ordinator of the event taking into account
all necessary precautions. The elapsed time shall not be paused.

Indemnity Form & declaration
The Organisers will not be held liable in any accident, causing injury or damage to the
competitors or their vehicles during the course of the event, including loss of personal
belongings.
The Organisers will not be held liable for any breach of any laws or regulations.
o The competitors will be entirely responsible for any accidents or breach of
laws in which liability may arise and shall indemnify the Organising
committee by signing the indemnity form.
o All competitors are advised to take own insurance coverage for mishaps or
illness for pre and post event days.
Competitors must agree to and sign an indemnity form before the start of the
event. Failure to do so renders the participant ineligible to start with no refund
of the entry fee.
Indemnity forms have to be signed by the Driver and spotter.
Declaration
I hereby confirm that I have obtained all necessary insurances relating to myself, my
vehicle and the passengers in my vehicle.
I hereby confirm that the Organisers shall have no liability towards me and hereby
forever discharge the Organisers of and from all actions, causes of action, suits, debts,
obligations, claims and demands whatsoever which I have or hereafter can, shall, or may
have.
I understand that the consumption of alcohol, narcotic, psychotropic and other similar
substances are not permitted and I agree to be excluded from the event if found, during the
actual running of the event, to have consumed any the above.

6. Participants are requested to take a print out of the Registration form, indemnity
form Check list form. Duly filled forms can be submitted to the following
registration centres:
