General and specific objectives of the course


The course is aimed to issue the Certificate of
Ricognition which is valid to obtain the
Aircraft Maintenance Licence (AML) of
Category B1.1 (Turbine Aircraft
Technician)

Course structure

(a long period of activities interruption between the 1 and 2 year and a
short period of activities interruption, because of festivity, during two years)

Theoretical training
The theoretical training course consists of 1224 hours of education in classroom based
on different modules (13 modules) subject of theoretical examinations according to
Regulations EASA Part-66 to obtain licence for category B1.1

Theoretical examinations
The theoretical examination are submitted at the end of each module (13 modules).
Every exam consists of a variable number of multi-choice questions - MCQ and an essay
questions - EQ, as specified in Part-66.

Practical Training
The practical experience is carried out at the Maintenance Training Center based in
Lugagnano-Sona (VR). One part (30% of this experience occurs in a Maintenance
Organizations recognized as Part-145 and / or Part M / F according to Regulation EU
1321/2014. This experience covers the practical use of common tooling / equipment, the
disassembly / assembly of a representative selection of aircraft parts and components
and the participation in maintenance activities carried out in the relevant module of Part66.

Practical examinations
The practical examinations will be carried out by a Practical Examiner. He will express
the following judgement: passed in case of a positive result or failed in case of
negative result.

Practical Training Material


All the material for practical activities, included the Individual Protective Device will be
equipped by school.
At the expense of the attendee is the purchase of special protective
shoes.

The ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organisation) recently hosted a five-day event to face
up to the challenge of the shortage expected in the near future for skilled professionals in the
aviation sector.
At the meeting were invited representatives of the Member States, industry and educational
institutions and together defined the problem and proposed approaches to solve it.
