# Project 1: Silicon Library Automation System


Software used : VS 2005 & MS SQL Server 2005
Language used: ASP.Net

Duration : Sept 2008 – Nov 2008

SYNOPSIS:- Library is the most important aspect of any college so a automated software was designed to
enhance & automate the library facilities such as issuing & returning of materials. In our software we have
followed the same thing as mentioned above with the facilities provided as night issue, fortnight issue &
monthly issue of books. We also provided searching of books from the software if unavailable then it will
be added to the inventory of unavailable books when being viewed to purchase them.

Responsibilties:

 Designing of Interfaces for Book issue, Book return & Digital Library.
 Developing the DFD’s for each underlying process.
 Designing all the tables for each database such as issue & return table.
 Co-ordinate team members in meeting deadlines for the interim.
 Biggest challenge faced was uploading & downloading the books to & from the database.
 Testing the Software by following basic Testing methodologies of Software
Engineering.

# Project 2: Image Editor


Software used : TextPad 5.0.3
Language used: Java

Duration : Jan 2009 – Mar 2009

SYNOPSIS:- Image Editor is software that allows images to be edited and also converted to different
graphics formats. Image editors typically deal with only bitmapped images such as GIFs, JPEGs and
BMPs. It’s Common functions are manually cropping and resizing the image and using "filters" to adjust
brightness, contrast and colors. The interface of our software was built using swing and the effects were
provided by using filter classes of JAVA. The image effects that were used were rotating the image,
resizing the image, adding effects that include Emboss, Blur, Negative, Edge Detection, Blur,
Hue,Vertical and Horizontal Flip,Corner, Laplace, Low Pass, Color Bands (Red, Blue, Green, Average &
Inverse). The background can be changed according to your wish with the available coours.A help file
was also designed by embedding HTML in Java to use the software without taking anyone’s help.

Responsibilties:

 System study, designing, coding of functions for editing images based on the
requirement.
 Designing of Interface for the Software.
 Draw the UML diagram for each editing function of the image.
 Biggest Challenge faced was opening the image file.
 Provide functionalities such as resizing & adding effects to the image.
 Design & development of the help file using HTML for better understanding of the user.
 Co-ordinate and work closely with the team to ensure internal deliveries are
in line with expectations and delivered in time.
 Unit testing and implementation of the entire software.

# Project 3: Media Player

Language used: Java

Duration : Apr 2009 – Jun 2009

SYNOPSIS:- Media Player is a software that is used to listen to songs and play movies.Th common
functions included are opening a .mp3(song format) file and .mpg(video formt) file. The common
functions included are opening a file of above formats with the name of the file displayed on the top of
the software.

Responsibilties:

 System study, coding of functions for playing song or video based on the
requirement.
 Designing of Interface for the Software.
 Draw the UML diagram for each editing function of the file.
 Biggest Challenge faced was opening the video or music file.
