The camel is very ugly but useful animal. It lives in dry
countries. It is called the Ship of the desert because riding on these animal travelers can pass through a desert. It is a tall animal, eight or ten feet high. It has a long and small head. Its feet are not cloven but each foot has two largepadded toes. When the camel walks, the toes spread out and do not sink in the sand. Its body is covered with ash-coloured hair. Its upper lip is large and divided. The Camel carry heavy intelligent and hardworking animal. It can carry heavy loads. It lives upto the age of 40 or 50 years.
Railway trains are now common in every civilized country. Before
the invention of the steam engine people used to go from one place to another by carts or carriage or on horse-back. It took much time to cover even a short distance. The railway train consists of a number of carriages drawn by an engine. Carriages are joined together in a line and they run on two iron rails running parallel to each other. The train is a safe and comfortable means of journey. It helps in trade and business. It carries food and takes soldiers to help in war.
The snake is a creeper of reptiles or crawling animals. It is
generally found in warm countries. It is the most dangerious of all reptiles, because it has venomous many varieties of snakes. There are many varieties in Africa and America.

The snake lives in holes of rates etc. It cannot dig holes in the ground. It feeds on frogs, birds, eggs, fish and insects. It can live without food for a long time, sometimes months. When without angry, it runs at its victim with the head erect and hood
expanded. It makes a hissing sound when teased. When it bites,
the poison flows from the poision bag into the fangs and then into the wound. The poision spreads over the body and the victim dies.
