The bar graph helps us in the comparative study of different courses of study
at higher education level in 1980 and 2000. In 1980, 45 percent of the

students opted arts and it came down to 40 percent in 2000.we can find a
drastic change in the students choice of study of science. In 1980, 30 percent
of students had taken science and it got reduced to 15 percent in 2000.in
contrast in the field of commerce, engineering, medical and others we can
see a great improvement. In 1980 the percentage of commerce, engineering
and medical students was 10 percent, 5 percent and 2.5 percent
respectively .It became double in 2000 lastly other students percentage
increased from 8 percent to 10 percent. The graph indicates that there is a
gradual fall in students studying arts science. Government must take some
measures to improve the same.
