Anthem (ANTM) proposed to acquire Cigna (CI) for $184/share or $53.80B. Cigna rejected the Anthem bid,
calling it inadequate.
Aetna (AET) has made a takeover proposal to Humana (HUM)
Williams Companies (WMB) has rejected an unsolicited buyout offer worth $48B but is open to other
offers. It was reported that Energy Transfer Equity (ETE) was the bidder.
Telus (TU) and Rogers Communications (RCI) are both close to buying wireless carrier Mobilcity.
A senior Macau government official calls for the lowest monthly revenue tally for the gambling region.
Nielsen (NLSN) has hired a banker to explore selling its movie tracking division.
