Ayacucho weather.
Ayacucho is located in the Quechua region climatologically region,
according to the classification made by the Peruvian geographer
Javier Pulgar Vidal; who divided the territory of Peru in eight natural
regions. This area is characterized by large streams with flat bottoms.
The climate is mild and dry, with an average temperature of 17.5 C

caracteriza por tener quebradas amplias con fondos planos. El clima es
templado y seco, con una temperatura promedio de 17.5 C y una humedad
relativa promedio de 56%.14 Puede considerrsele como valle a mediana
altura; en cuanto a la humedad es considerada como zona semirida. La
temporada de lluvias se da entre noviembre y marzo.

La Semana Santa de Ayacucho es la segunda ms importante del mundo

despus de la de Sevilla (Espaa).8 9 En estas dos ciudades se mantienen los
rituales antiguos de la Semana Santa, donde se siente y percibe un fervor
religioso especial. La particularidad de esta Semana Santa es que mezcla las
tradiciones europeas con las caractersticas culturales andinas.
La Semana Santa en Ayacucho se inicia el Viernes de Dolores, Luego continua
con el Sbado Santo, donde sale la Procesin del Seor de la Parra, despus
viene el Domingo de Ramos.Despes El Lunes Santo, sale la Procesin del
Seor del Huerto El Martes Santo, sale la Procesin del Seor de la Sentencia.
El Mircoles Santo, sale la Procesin del Encuentro.
El Jueves Santo, se visita las 7 iglesias de la ciudad y se recolecta el agua
bendita de dichos templos.
El Viernes Santo, se escenifica el camino al calvario, y por la noche, las luces
de la Plaza Mayor se apagan y sale la procesin del Seor del Santo Sepulcro
El Sbado de Gloria, es el da de festejo popular que comienza con el Pascua
Toro o Jala Toro.
El Domingo de Resurreccin, sale la Procesin del Cristo Resucitado

American Freedom Week [edit]

The main day is on 9 December, the anniversary of the glorious Battle
of Ayacucho. During this week the International Guitar Festival
"American Freedom" as well as other cultural and folk activities

besides exhibition is done in tribute to American freedom. Also, some

years, the staging of the Battle of Ayacucho is performed in the same
Pampa de Quinua, which brings together hundreds of people.

Huamanga anniversary [edit]

Holy Saturday bulls in the Plaza San Juan Bautista.
On April 25, the anniversary of the Spanish foundation of Huamanga,
capital of Ayacucho was held; It was enacted in 1540. It is a festival

cultural and folk activities are performed to commemorate this event:
festivals, exhibitions, fairs, parades, etc.

Semana de la Libertad Americana[editar]
El da central es el 9 de diciembre, aniversario de la gloriosa Batalla
de Ayacucho. Durante esta semana se realiza el Festival Internacional
de Guitarra Libertad Americana, as como otras actividades
culturales y folklricas, adems de exposiciones en homenaje a la
libertad americana. Tambin, algunos aos, se realiza la escenificacin
de la Batalla de Ayacucho en la misma Pampa de Quinua, que
congrega a centenares de personas.
Aniversario de Huamanga[editar]
Toros de sbado de gloria en la Plaza San Juan Bautista.
El 25 de abril se celebra el aniversario de la fundacin espaola de
Huamanga, capital del departamento de Ayacucho; decretada en
1540. Es una festividad que con el tiempo se ha vuelto una semana de
muchas celebraciones, ya que se realizan grandes actividades
culturales y folclricas para conmemorar dicho acontecimiento:
festivales, exposiciones, ferias, desfiles, etc.
Da de la cancin ayacuchana[editar]

En 1988, Instituto Nacional de Cultura de Ayacucho, emite la

Resolucin Directoral N 005, declarando el 6 de noviembre de cada
ao como Da de la Cancin Folklrica Ayacuchana, en homenaje al
profesor Felipe Nery Garca Zrate,38 muerto el mismo da un ao
