Town Board Moments


1. Citizen Concerns a.
Resident addressed Zoning
Officer Bruce Mitchell with
questions concerning the
construction of a house that
is being built by an Amish
family on Co.Rt.22. Mr.
Mitchell reported that all
permits have been obtained
through the Town and
County offices for all the
buildings they are
constructing. B. It was
reported that the sign in the
Kinne Cemetery needed
some repairs such as
painting and gave a general
report on the conditions of
some of the Town
Cemeteries she and Mr. Pitts
are mowing.
2.
Correspondences: a. A copy
of a letter received from
Case & Leaders Law office
addressed to the Jefferson
Co. Highway Department for
signatures to finalize the
road transfers of County
Rt.194 for the Town Line Rd.
between the Town of
Antwerp and Jefferson Co.
b. A statement received from
NYS Department of Taxation
and Finance reporting that
the Town of Antwerp
Equalization rate is at 100%.

Moment
1. Citizen Concerns- a.
Resident questions about
the status of the zoning
complaints regarding 19
Mechanic Street. Mayor
Golden stated that the
zoning officer is at court
tonight regarding this and
things are progressing but
it takes time.
2. DPW REPORT: Not
present. Hydrants will be
flushed June 29 and 30.
Residents are advised that
this will turn the water rust
colored and not to do any
laundry until their water
runs clear.
3. SEWER PROJECT:
Project is currently
entering close out phase.
There are some issues at
the plant with the RBCs
not running as they
should. The engineers
and DANC are
investigating. The grinder
is also making horrible
noises and has been
reported to the
manufacturer as it is still
under warranty.
4.
The Village has received a
request from Verizon to
review all phone records to
make sure we are getting
the best deal. Tr. Altmann
motioned to authorize this
review, Tr. Cole 2nd and
the motion carried with all
in favor.

Saturday August 1st,
the First
Congregational
Church will be having
their Lawn Social at
2:00 PM - ? on the
church lawn.
Hamburgers, hot
dogs, Sweet
sausages, macaroni
salad, ice cream and
drinks. Raffling off a
landscape painting by
Ramona Jarvis and a
few other items.

Whats up in
Antwerp?

Day /ORA events to be


held on August 1st,
2015. The ORA 5k,
10K, 1 Mile run/walk
starting at 9AM.
Registration form

They are looking for
parade participants,
organizations, antique
cars, tractors,
motorcycle groups, &

Crosby Public Library The 2015 Summer


Reading Program begins
on Wednesday, July 8,
2015. We will have story
time from 10AM -10:30
AM every Wednesday in
July except the July 1st.
(July 8, 15, 22, and 29).
All are welcome.
The Summer Reading
Challenge will also begin
on July 8th. Pick up your
reading logs at the library
after July 6th. All who
participate will receive a
prize!
Our annual book sale
will begin on Monday,
July 13th and continue
through Saturday, August
15th. +++++++++++++++
++++ On Wednesday,
July 22 at 4:00PM, the
library will host a class on
Basic Computer
Maintenance. InstructorMs. Jamie Peck, a North
Country Library System
Information Technology
Specialist. You will learn
how to access and
explore the control panel
to perform basic
maintenance functions in
organizing files. You are
welcome to bring your
laptop if you have one,
although Ms. Peck will
have extras for those
who need them.
On Wednesday, July 29
at 4:00PM, the library will
host a Doing More with
Facebook class.

Summer Recreation
Program is scheduled
to run July 6th - July
31st, Monday Thursday. Enchanted
Forest on July 31.
Signup sheets will be
at the office. They will
also be running the
lunch program.
On Old Homes Day,
August 1st, the Crosby
Public Library plans to
have a booth outside
the library as well as a
display inside from
10:00 AM until 2:00
PM. We also plan to
have a bake sale in
addition to our
continuing summer
book sale.

Participants will learn how


to create and manage
photos and adding
content to their Profile and
Timeline. Students are
encouraged to come with
questions! Instructor Ms. Jamie Peck.
