FACING FERNANDEZ: 2013 National League All-Star and the N.L. Rookie of the Year Jose Fernandez makes his fourth rehab start after undergoing Tommy John surgery last May. In 2013, Fernandez was 12-6 with a
2.19 ERA in 28 starts for Miami. That year he set rookie records in ERA,
strikeouts (187), average against (.182)., and WHIP (0.98). Finished with
second-lowest ERA and WHIP (min. 162.0 IP) in Club history for any pitcher, behind only Kevin Brown in 1996 in both categories (1.89 and 0.94,
respectively). In 4 rehab starts with A+ Jupiter he was 1-1 with a 3.20 ERA.
WAGNER, ARCIA GUIDE SHUCKERS TO 7-3 WIN FRIDAY: Tyler Wagner earned his first win since May 12th last night earning the win and
improving to 6-2 after 7 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 2 ER, BB, 5 SO last night against
the Suns.
The win was Biloxis first of the second half and places them in a 4-way
tie at 1-1 to lead the Southern League South.
It was Wagners 8th quality start in 12 outings this season.
SS Orlando Arcia paced the offense with an RBI double in the first and a
RBI triple in the fourth. Logged his 26th multi-hit game of 2015.
Arcia finished 2-for-5 with 2 runs and 2 RBI, raising his average to .312
(83-266) on the season with 20 doubles, 2 triples, 4 home runs and 39
RBI. He is on pace for a career-high 43 doubles this year.
Every Shuckers starter reached base safely on Friday night.
THE BILOXI 10 BREAK SL ALL-STAR GAME RECORD: Despite the
9-0 loss the South Division suffered to the North Division on Tuesday night
in Montgomery, the Shuckers made history with 10 participants in the
game. Relievers RHP Austin Ross (2/3 IP, 2SO), RHP Damien Magnifico (1/3 IP, 3R, 4H, SO) and 80% of the starting rotation, RHP Brooks
Hall (2/3 IP, 2 SO), LHP Hobbs Johnson (2/3 IP, BB), RHP Jorge Lopez
(IP, 2H, R, BB, 2SO) and RHP Tyler Wagner (IP, 2H). Position players SS
Orlando Arcia (0x3, BB), LF Michael Reed (0x2), 1B Nick Ramirez, 0x3,
BB), C Adam Weisenburger (1x1) all played in Tuesdays game at Riverwalk Stadium. The 12 total selections tied the 2011 Tennessee Smokies
for most since Division vs. Division formatting began in 1999. The 10 participating is the most in this format (previous 8 in 11 by TNS). RHP Jaye
Chapman and OF Kyle Wren were selected, but have been promoted to
Triple-A Colorado Springs.
MGM PARK MAGIC: For the third time in 9 games at MGM Park, the
Shuckers walked-off with an extra-inning victory on on 6/20. Biloxi defeated Mobile 6-5 on a walk-off single by Nick Shaw scoring Brent Suter
in the 14th inning on June 6 in the MGM Park Opener. Then, back-to-back
walk-offs 6/19 and 6/20 on a Taylor Green single in the 10th scoring Michael Reed on 6/19 and Victor Roaches solo homer in the 15th on 6/20.

BILOXI BASEBALL HISTORY: Pro baseball is not totally new to the Gulf Coast, but it is the first since 1908. The
Gulfport-Biloxi Sand Crabs of the Cotton States League played half a season in Biloxi during the summer of 1908.
Many Major League and som Minor League teams held spring traing in the area. Even the 1920 Milwaukee Brewers
of the American Association (direct descendant of the current Brewers) trained in Gulfport. See below.

Todays Start: RHP Jorge Lopez makes his 13th start of 2015 in game three against the Jacksonville
Suns. The Shuckers have won the Brewers 15th-ranked prospects last five starts, and nine of his last 10.
Last Outing: Lopez won his second-straight start with a 6-2 victory over the Montgomery Biscuits on
June 17. The 22-year-old righty picked up his fifth quality start of the season, allowing an unearned run
over six innings to go along with four hits, a walk and three strikeouts.
vs. Jacksonville: Lopez will be making his second career start agains the Suns on Saturday. The
Puerto Rican native picked up his first win of the season on April 24 against Jacksonville, tossing five innings of shutout ball while giving up two hits, two hits and three strikeouts.
2015: Allowed just one hit over seven innings on 5/10 at MIS and had a no-hitter through 5.1 innings
against the Braves in Pearl. He ended up walking none and matching a career-high with 8 strikeouts.
Lopez also collected an RBI single as well in the 2-0 win.
The Puerto Rican native allowed 6 runs - 5 earned - on 8 hits through 11.2 innings during spring training.
He also added 6 walks and 8 strikeouts.
Named 2015 midseason All-Star.
2014: Participated in the All-Star Futures Game for the World Team at Target Field (retired the only
batter he faced) Ranked among the Florida State League leaders in strikeouts (3rd, 119) Had a sixgame winning streak from 4/28-6/16. Pitched for Mayaguez in the Puerto Rican Winter League following
the season (6 GS, 1-1, 1.73 ERA, 26 IP, 25 SO).
2013: Went 7-8 with a 5.23 ERA with Wisconsin (25/22 G/GS).
2012: He entered the season as the ninth-best prospect in the Brewers organization according to Baseball America.

COACHING STAFF
Subero, 42, begins his second season in the Brewers organization as manager at the Double-A level. Subero led the Huntsville Managing Career
Team
Stars to a 77-63 record and a postseason berth last season.
GCL Rangers
Prior to joining the Brewers, Subero managed five seasons in
the Dodgers organization at Class-A Inland Empire (2009), Double-A Chattanooga (2010-12) and Class-A Rancho Cucamonga
(2013). He led the Lookouts to the playoffs in 2011 after clinching
the Southern Leagues second-half North Division title with a 4227 record after the All-Star break.
During his only season as a manager in the White Sox organization, Subero led Double-A
Birmingham to a 74-63 record and a Southern League playoff berth in 2008.
Subero began his coaching career in the Rangers organization, including two seasons as
hitting coach with the Rookie Gulf Coast League Rangers (1999-2000) and seven seasons
as manager with the GCL Rangers (2001-02), Class-A Clinton (2003-05) and Class-A Bakersfield (2006-07). His clubs reached the postseason in each of his three seasons with Clinton. Subero owns a 798-849 (.485) record over 13 seasons as a
minor-league manager.
