Abstract/Summary
Abstract: While exploring biodiversity of mushrooms from Pakistan, Calocera himalayca was found growing on decaying wood in coniferous
forests of Pakistan's Part of Himalaya. C. himalayca is very greasy in texture unlike the true coral fungi. Morphologically, it resembles with C.
viscosa and often confused with some of the Ramaria species of coral fungi, but the greasy, viscid surface is an immediately obvious
distinguishing feature of this species. The basidiomata were collected and characterized morpho-anatomically and rDNA was used to infer its
phylogenetic topology/placement with its allies. 2015 Friends Science Publishers Copyright of International Journal of Agriculture &

CRONOLOGA DE LA TAXONOMA Y CLADSTICA DE LOS GLOMEROMICETOS

Abstract/Summary
Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) are obligate biotrophs of higher plants and constitute one of the most widespread groups of soil
microorganisms. Classification, taxonomy and description of evolutionary relationships among AMF have been a fundamental part on the
study of such organisms. Development of this knowledge can be separated into three major stages starting from the first reported
observations of these microorganisms. The first stage corresponds to the recognition of morphological diversity among the species clustered
in the genera Endogone (Zygomycota), and its separation into the AMF genera Gigaspora, Acaulospora, Glomus and Sclerocystis, and the
non-mycorrhizal Modicella, Glaziella and Endogone, all of these subordinated to Endogonaceae. The second stage involves the study of
common morphological features that resulted from the separation of AMF species in a monophyletic group at the rank of an order
(Glomales). Finally, the third stage comprises most recent studies that rely on the use of molecular biology tools coupled with observation of
morphological features. One of the most significant contributions of this period was placing AMF species in a higher taxa rank and grouping
the species in the Glomales Order into the phylum Glomeromycota. This review addresses these three stages in detail, and provides a
general view of the distinct taxonomical changes in AMF classification.

Abstract/Summary
Abstract

The new species Caliciopsis valentina from the eastern Iberian Peninsula is characterized morphologically, anatomically, and

molecularly. The occurrence of C. subcorticalis (Cooke & Ellis) Fitzp. in Europe is discussed. Based on the revision of fresh and herbarium
specimens we propose the new combination Caliciopsis beckhausii with a neotype selected for this taxon. New molecular data (ITS and
nuLSU) are used in combination with available sequences to build a preliminary phylogenetic hypothesis for this genus. We point out some
previously overlooked colour-reaction tests as relevant for the systematics of the group. Finally, an updated key for all known Caliciopsis
species is provided.
