James Shields owns a lifetime 49-26 record (.653) in 107 starts over his career in the final game of a series
(STATS, Inc.) is 4-2 this season in his seven starts in series finales.
o Now has 123 strikeouts on the year, which entered play today as the sixth-most in baseball.
o Threw 117 pitches today, the most thrown by a Padres pitcher this season and the most since Odrisamer
Despaigne threw 123 pitches on July 20 of last season.
o Owns a lifetime 25-16 record in 61 career starts and appearances against AL West teams, pitching to a
3.27 ERA (155 ER, 426.1 IP) his win total against the AL West entered today as the fourth-most among
active players to have never played a game within the division.
