CONNECTING THE DOTS ON DAVID:
As noted in last weeks TidBits, the lectionary skips many parts of the story in I & II Samuel. This week we
will hear II Samuel, 5:1-5, 9-10. Should you wish to follow the story, between now and next week, please read
II Samuel, 5:11-25. Beginning this Sunday, July 5, I plan to make myself available in the Sanctuary beginning
at 9:15 should you have questions or wish to discuss the passages you have read.
Further, I have charted both I & II Samuel, chapter by chapter on a single sheet. Apparently we ran out of
copies last week. More copies are available, see Mother Johanna.
On Wednesday July 15 at 7 pm all Sunday school parents are invited to attend a short meeting/discussion
in the Sanctuary. We want your input and ideas. Please RSVP Barbara Clark at 669-2384.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
As requested, Prayer Request Cards are now on hooks in the pews, as well as on the table at the back of the
nave.
ALTAR FLOWERS:
Have a special event, birthday, anniversary or graduation you wish to mark? The Altar Flower sign-up sheet
is located on the table in the Narthex.
Coffee Hour Sign Up
A Coffee Hour sign-up sheet is now available on the ECW bulletin board for July December services.
Anyone is welcome to host or co-host a coffee hour. Please sign up if you are interested and ask Tracy, Leslie
or Muffet for more information if needed.
Gentle reminder: Should you care to support the Coffee Hour ministry, there is a basket for donations on the
table in the Fellowship Hall.

PARISH LIFE:
Yard Sale- rain or shine! Saturday, August 15 from 9-1. Time to clear out the barn, basement and closets?
Make some money and have some fun! Parishioners are first come first served tables $20. Contact Muffet at
610.9556 or email Muffet.stewart@yahoo.com! Set up will be Friday at 4pm. Table and chairs will be
provided, and you are responsible to remove all items left at the end of the sale to set up for Sunday use.
Thanks to all who attended last week's parish picnic. While it was dreary outside, it was bright and cheery
inside with the laughter, conversation and great food. Thanks to all who brought something to share and a
special thank you to our grill masters!!!

Budget.
Open House:
The Alcyon Center, situated above beautiful Seal Cove on MDI, invites you to an Open House
August 19th, 5-7 pm. The Center is an experience of being welcomed, body, soul and spirit into the life of a
small, practicing contemplative community.
The Open House will include tours of the main house and grounds, an opportunity to speak with the directors
and board members while enjoying light refreshments and herbal teas. If interested in attending, please
